It's bad.
Dead by Backrooms Anomaly is a compact psychological horror experience developed and published by DarkRook Interactive that draws inspiration from the familiar Backrooms mythos while attempting to carve out its own identity through narrative framing and puzzle-driven exploration. Rather than leaning purely on endless liminal corridors as an abstract horror backdrop, the game places the player into a more directed journey, one that blends unsettling atmosphere, light puzzle-solving, and moments of darkly surreal humor. The result is a short but distinctive experience that prioritizes mood and curiosity over traditional horror mechanics or sustained tension. The game is presented from a first-person perspective and follows a female protagonist whose situation and motivations are intentionally obscured at the outset. Storytelling unfolds indirectly, relying on environmental clues, strange visual compositions, and fragmented interactions rather than explicit exposition. This approach aligns well with the dreamlike logic of the Backrooms concept, where places feel familiar yet fundamentally wrong. The environments often resemble distorted versions of offices, hallways, and interior spa…
Ok, this game is really crazy and bizarre. It's a horror game with somewhat lame memes, but somehow I liked it. If you like a horror game with a comedic aspect, this is a good game.
