Dead Spell

Just buy Erenshor instead of this, they are going for a similar mmo-sim system, but in this case it is just incredibly shallow and lazily put together by comparison. The spells are underwhelming, the premise of crafting your own spells seems interesting, the main issue is that many spells have horrible cooldowns, the first spell that you get deals about 17 damage and has a cast animation with no cooldown, there is a dot spell that you can also get at lvl 1 that deals 5 damage every 2 seconds for 10 seconds, but has a cooldown of 2 minutes, that's just insane. All the characters that you can recruit look the same, the controls are similar to wow but just worse, the quest rewards are underwhelming, and I am all in for stylized games, but here it looks like just an excuse to not put any effort in that regard, also, the rate at which you level up is insanely slow, I ended up at lvl 3 despite picking up and turning in a bunch of quests. The game is just not fun, maybe the spell crafting system makes the game better later on, but the fact that I was just done with it in the first 30 minutes is a really bad sign.

The game isnt bad - it needs work but thats just how it is. Spell crafting system is a neat idea, and I think once it gets fleshed out more we'll see some cool things with build variety. Talent system needs work but the dev already commented on it, the gearing is pretty fun and with tons of spells (like 3 of the fire consecrates) you can get a rlly strong build going early on. You're usually tanking 2-3 mobs until you get better gear but with NPCs im sure it gets crazier. I have yet to do a dungeon but I think it'll be fun.
