While this is technically a platformer, as described, it’s anything but casual. In addition to basic movement, your primary abilities include jumping with a wall-jump mechanic, and dashing, which can also be used mid-air. The dash is crucial for going through hazards because this makes you invincible. What makes the game especially frustrating is its reliance on random, unfair traps. Beyond the standard dangers like floor spikes, patrolling enemies, and spinning saws, the game introduces unpredictable traps that can appear anywhere. This randomness ensures that no two attempts are the same, and not in a good way. You might be killed by a giant spike launching from the ground, a rock falling from above, or a platform suddenly vanishing beneath you. These traps are completely invisible until triggered, making it nearly impossible to learn a stage. As you progress through five worlds, each containing around eight stages, the difficulty only ramps up. Despite its low price, the game leans too heavily on cheap, unfair mechanics to be fun. This is especially evident in the so-called "nightmare mode," which turns an already frustrating experience into something virtually unplayable.
