6-6-26 Played chapter 2 .. same as a lot of the games I have played recently ..' The tried and true, horror walking sim. This game has good graphics and interesting mechanics. Fun.

Fun continuation to the first game albeit much shorter. As another commenter mentioned, it is pretty much a horror walking simulator but with a lot more emphasis on combat. Overall, enjoyed it and the series as a whole.

Deathbloom: Chapter 2 serves as the atmospheric and unnerving conclusion to Vincent Lade’s two-part descent into the horrors of Bachman Manor. Where the first chapter emphasized exploration, interconnected layouts, and slow-burn dread, this second installment shifts the tone toward a more directed and cinematic experience. You return once again to the twisted halls of the manor, continuing the search for Christina and attempting to piece together the truth behind the Deathbloom phenomenon. The game wastes no time re-establishing its gothic ambience—flickering lights, distant creaks, and oppressive shadows create a constant sense of being watched. Even before the first encounter, the manor feels alive, as though its rooms and corridors are patiently waiting for your arrival. It’s an environment that trades overpowering jump scares for a persistent, suffocating mood, and that approach continues to define the experience from beginning to end. In terms of structure, Chapter 2 adopts a more linear progression than its predecessor. Each area feeds directly into the next, guiding you through a sequence of curated challenges rather than encouraging wide-ranging backtracking and puzzle-sol…

Note: If you're reading this, you may want to read what I had to say about Chapter 1 first, if you haven't already. Click to read. So, here's Deathbloom: Chapter 2, which was released less than a year after the first game, and is also the last chapter of this short story. To be honest, there was no reason to split the story into two different games, but I guess it was probably easier for the developer that way. Also – more money. Part 2 is slightly more focused on puzzles and includes some fun gameplay mechanics. It's not much, but I enjoyed the attempt to do a few things differently, thanks to a better understanding of Unity, I guess. The mansion is still the main playground, but extended to some degree – this time, we're going deeper into this madhouse and exploring new areas offering distinct environments. A light breeze of fresh air. No pun intended. Besides that, nothing new about your weapons or foes. The difficulty has been toned up, but overall, Chapter 2 remains a very entry-level survival horror. The story is nothing groundbreaking, but it'…
