Warning: AI Slop This game is partially or completely made with talentless, soulless AI generated content.
This was slapped together with the godawful Ren'Py visual novel construction kit... enabling terrible authors to publish books as if they were games when otherwise we might have been spared the pollution. So, just like no professional writing took place here, no professional software development took place, either. This is another fake game from Atomic Fabrik/GamesforGames, once more using another fake account to try mislead gamers about his identity (Atomic Fabrik is already banned from Steam for the same kind of review manipulation that appears on this AI slop). Once more moving on from asset flipping to something even worse, this is 100% AI Slop... a vibe coded "game" made by prompting ChatGPT to fill out Ren'Py with AI slop images, AI slop writing... the whole thing is AI slop. Worse, Atomic Fabrik deliberately violated their mandatory requirement to disclose the use of AI slop, to further mislead and scam gamers. Visual novels/e-books are the worst way to try read a book (and they're always writt…5 found this helpful
Not sure how this is getting such great reviews. It has nice art, but it's only one image of chairs in a circle. no bodies ever fill the seats, no change of scenery, as you progress. The systems, and choices are never explained, there is no tips when hovering over a choice, and after you figure out X gives you rep, y gives you faith, and z removes paranoia, you pretty much are done. First play through I got to Level 5 and I have no idea what that means. XP is added but no leveling up info is given. I had 11 members, 100% faith, ZERO Paranoia, and like 80 Rep, and it still says I failed. It feels like a student project in a programing class, that someone uploaded as part of the course. I'd give it a C at best. The 14 or so choices you get, you get every day, so every day is the same as the last. nothing really changes. Even at 80% rep, and 100% faith, I didn't have random people knocking at my door to join. You can recruit new members, one at a time, by 'recruiting new members', but running an advertisement recuits no one, it just improves your rep. Again, all the special items you get, have no explanation as to what they do. A Telescope improves faith... why? You can kick member…5 found this helpful

Definitely Not a Cult is an offbeat management and narrative-driven indie game that embraces absurd comedy from start to finish. Developed by Total and published by Neuroslop, it presents players with the amusing challenge of creating and expanding what is supposedly an ordinary community, even though every new discovery suggests otherwise. The game's tongue-in-cheek humor is built around the contradiction between its reassuring title and the increasingly suspicious situations players encounter, creating an experience that is more playful than sinister. Rather than focusing on serious themes, it delivers a satirical adventure filled with quirky personalities, strange events, and a steady stream of comedic surprises. The gameplay combines light resource management with story progression, allowing players to recruit new members, expand their settlement, gather materials, and unlock additional facilities that help the organization grow. Its systems are intentionally simple, making it approachable for newcomers while still offering enough progression to keep players engaged. Every upgrade introduces new opportunities and challenges, encouraging players to carefully balance growth with…
It’s a choice-based visual novel about managing a community. You have to grow your follower base, increase your budget, control faith and paranoia, and deal with a government inspector. As you progress through the game, you can use cult items like the Holy Carrot to increase
The cult, crossed out... the circle of flat earth witnesses, reopens its doors. Join us, adherents, crossed out... smart people. And of course, don't forget about the money!
