Demon Love: Wish island

Steam needs the middle thumb option, I would give this game the middle thumb. If you don't mind that it's AI, there are some decent animations here. Some are rendered really well, some are rendered kind of poorly (characters sometimes have significantly different body dimensions and faces across scenes, hands and feet sometimes look like lifeless paddles, a bit of uncanny valley stuff on a couple scenes, weird textural stuff, a lot of blurring, etc), but there are lots of them, so that's cool. Outside of the animations, you have to accumulate currency in a mini-game that's tedious, boring, and poorly-implemented. The main mini-game can be interrupted by NPCs outside of the mini-game wandering into it, which is bad design, and it's overall just poorly conceived. The game makes you spend a lot of time with it in the later levels, so it needs to be better. The other mini-game that's attached to one particular character's story is a little exploration game and it's trial and error that also requires a large amount of currency, especially on the last level. The gameplay is super snappy and not dragged out at all. No annoying grind, just a really pleasant and easy experience.

Cool models and really great artwork, although it all seems to be AI-generated. However, the amount of points required for progression and artworks that remain locked even after completing the entire game (likely bugs) hurt the overall experience

This game is a bit uneven. The 1950's pin-up graphics are cute, but some of the characters are out of a mental hospital. The three labyrinth scenes in particular make no logical sense. You have to wander around and die multiple times before and just hope that you happen to get through. There are hints of greatness here but it fall short in so many ways. 6/10.
