About Destroyer: Invasion
In Soviet Russia, Space Hears You Scream
Earth is a memory, its children have escaped to their new colonies spread among the stars. Launched in desperation in the final hour, are all that remain of humanity. But now, the young colonies face a new and unexpected threat. Join the New Russian Republic as they fight for the future!
You have been commissioned as a Captain, and charged with the command of a squadron of fighter drones. We have had little time to prepare, but crews have been working non-stop. Through blood, sweat, and the tears of potatoes, they have crafted a fine, strong fighter to battle our enemies. Forced into battle, you must pilot your limited number of fighter drones against the looming menace, huge motherships with tons of cannons, turrets, and multitudes of other weapons and targets. You have unlimited lasers and bombs, but you must avoid massive amounts of incoming ordinance, survive if you can so you don't run out of fighters, and don't let them reach our new home!
Report directly to the Supreme Commander, he will be personally handling your mission briefings. Science and Engineering experts are working 31 hours a day to try and analyze the enemy and unlock powerful upgrades for your drones, but the enemy won't wait for them. Get out there and stop that alien threat before they reach the planet!

a great classic arcade game but the storyline sucks9 found this helpful
Destroyer: Invasion is a very mediocre vertical scrolling arcade shoot 'em up with a somewhat generic sci-fi theme. At least the developer bothered with some intro blurb... not that it improves the overall poor quality of the game. On the upside it doesn't look like an asset flip... this is most likely a game that's been made sincerely, if badly. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The artwork here is terrible, it's a blend of old retro pixel "art" used as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics, and some of the most amateurish MS-Paint style drawings (I won't deign to call these "illustrations"). It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget to arrange someone who can do graphics properly, or lack of talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result of these decisions. While there are options to change the resolution for the game, all this does is scale up the simplistic low quality art assets used to make the game, which makes little or no difference to the graphics quality. Without any other substantial graphics tweaks, it's not possible for gamers to…1 found this helpful

Cheap +1 to your game count, a easy +1 to your perfect games as well, obtaining the achievements requires a little bit of time but they are not that difficult to obtain. Th game itself isn't half bad, it had issues before i played it, but apparently those were fixed, so that's one good sign, usually cheap games like these are dumped ad forgotten on the steam store. It nice to see that not every Mini Indie Dev treats their games like trash. The game is cheap so don't expect anything major but you are getting your moneys worth here, at least a few hours at least, but for that price it isn't that bad, most of us that has the game is most probably for a +1, but the gamers who has the game for that purpose might feel slightly different, but as i said, a cheap game, one can't go expecting gold for the price of coal. What we have here is a space shooter in top down style with several add ons to improve the game, from upgrades to enhance your abilities to vehicle control, we can control the speed at which we travel, the game starts out simple, but quickly scales to offer us a challenge at the later levels, the level design and art was done properly, it might not look great but it does th…1 found this helpful
