ok, I don't know what the other reviewers are smoking, but they are obviously not familiar with the movie this game is based on. The game play is fine for a space shooter and the complaints about the voice acting are unwarranted as this is based on a b-movie. Buy it on sale.

If you saw the movie and thought a space combat game based on Moon Nazis sounded cool, this is a massive letdown. It is a bottom-tier dogfighter that feels like a cheap budget game from 2005. The bad part is almost the entire gameplay loop. The flight controls are floaty and awkward, targeting systems feel clunky, and space combat gets repetitive after five minutes. You literally just fly between stationary targets, lock on, holding down the fire button, and watch shields slowly tick down. The mission structure is a boring grind of back and forth sector defense, and the audio design is terrible with annoying voice acting and flat weapon sounds. The only okay part is the ridiculous concept itself and the actual movie cutscenes scattered throughout. Upgrading your ship from a basic scout to a heavier fighter is alright, but it does not save the underlying gameplay. Do not play it unless you are a hard fan of the movie and find it for two bucks.

When people said voice acting is bad and cringy, I thought it's overexaggerating, that it's just silly, like Red Alert for example. Oh no no. This is just pure bad and "ugh" territory. That alone is enough to drop the game, like hoooooly, listening to those characters was painful. Gameplay is very simple and there's just no reason to stick around.
