About Devil Land RPG

In the year 1400 of the Devil Land, you're a middle-aged man at the bottom of the social ladder, living like a slave, muddled and unarmed. Want to change everything around you? The four Lords of the Magic Realm won't oblige. Come and try.

Gameplay: a first person role-playing game where you will play as an ordinary civilian of the Magic Realm, experiencing and trying to change the continent of the Magic Realm. Awaiting you are harsh battles and overlords in every realm. You must utilize your own battle strategies to keep yourself from dying in the wilderness. During the journey players will also meet like-minded companions, but of course, not many people like to mantle.

A classic RPG with strategic combat, hardcore difficulty, and a deep plot.

✦ AI summary

Players have sharply divided opinions on this RPG's difficulty and design. One camp finds the hardcore difficulty punishing and poorly balanced, with limited resources, expensive inns, and sudden enemy level spikes making progression feel tedious and unfair—exacerbated by a bare world that feels incomplete. Others appreciate the grinding as meditative and manageable once you accept the game's design, noting that enemy drops and relaxed pacing make it playable at a low price point, with the barren world fitting the story's tone.

When this game says hardcore difficulty...it means exactly that. That means: no buying potions...fight and hope you find loot, no inn, because visiting it will ruin you financially. Your *party*, which already has trouble with level 4 enemies, suddenly has to deal with level 8 enemies...bad luck for you, because it takes hours to buy better gear. Oh yeah, the running option doesn't work, so your character sneaks across the screen the whole time. The world is, well, let's just say, very barren, as if the developer didn't want to put in the effort or doesn't have the RPGMaker add-on packages. Overall, I've had enough after the first mission, and no, I can't recommend this game.

My thoughts on completing the game. Firstly, i played the demo to see if it was my kind of RPG, and strangely found it very relaxing despite being a grindfest. Poison doesn't stick after battle and the enemies drop so many healing items that staying at the inn isn't necessary, and as long as you grind a few levels at the start you can easily progress to the main mission. Yes, the areas are barren, but that's part of the story . You continue to have to grind for money and experience, but as i said, it's quite relaxing. I would tentatively recommend for such a cheap game. Kind regards, Di.
