About Dimensional Intersection

Developed by Swedish studio, DNV, and tested in the psychedelic city of Anjuna in Goa, Dimensional Intersection is a transformation experience inside the heart of music. Featuring music from artists such as Globular and MONS, Dimensional Intersection will take participants to a new reality through surreal scenes filled with interactive real-time fractals, infinite tunnels and morphing 3D models.

Dimensional Intersection's meditative gameplay syncs with the music and creates surreal environments that continuously morph and evolve over time, with a grand sense of scale in a physics-driven world. Dimensional Intersection is a truly unique journey where players will lose themselves while exploring new virtual realities.

Features:
• Psytrance, Hyper-Chill, and Psydub music wisp you away as you explore a completely different reality with your eyes and ears
• Immerse yourself in hyper realistic scenes filled with interactive realtime fractals, infinite tunnels, morphing 3d models, particles, more particles, even more particles and beautiful bloom
• Meditative gameplay using music sync and otherworldly visual environments that continuously morph and evolve with the music as the player navigates through the game
• Experience a grand sense of scale and physics, combined with visual & auditory stimulus while observing the surroundings in an ever-flowing dreamlike realm
• A truly unique journey where you can lose yourself and disappear into the new and unexplored dimensions of virtual reality

Really cool and trippy. Provides 360 view around you and has the ability to change orientation so you could lay down and watch - the top rated comment which says otherwise is a bit dated. Can make it react to music playing on your computer. Cons: From the description "surreal scenes filled with interactive real-time fractals, infinite tunnels and morphing 3D models." seems to have been the intention, but there's basically 1 fractal and 1 ... thing... The ability to change orientation and having different scales makes it reasonable. Just wish there were more effects that could be used. As an example, there's an awesome spiral/tunnel in the "menu" with lightening FX and would be great to have that as a useable environment. The city/machinery in the logo would also be sick as a visualiser. Definitely still recommendable and I will use again.

I'm likely to refund this program and here's why. Rather than 360 degree fractals extending away from the POV camera this seems to be a POV camera clipping through a solid fractal. That clipping is what breaks the immersion for me and makes this program pointless. As I see things approaching that I would like to appreciate in detail they disappear before I can see those details. It is obviously a sphere or other transparent shape clipping through the fractals.

Once you get used to the controls, this can be a a pretty exciting experience. Click left stick to change the environmental colours, click right stick to change the general fractal, and then hold down one or both trigger buttons and move your hands around. See how you get on with that. I believe there is also a button to control the size of your collision spheres on your hands (which you use to deform the moving fractals). I definitely enjoyed this one and would recommend it if you like trippy VR experiences!

Not worth the money and i bought this on sale. disappointing lack of content and the fractals barely move.

I enjoyed this music visualizer, it's not one I would use as my 'VR visualizer of choice' (that goes to DMT: Dynamic Music Tesseract, without a doubt). But it provided an interesting and unique visualizer experience that I enjoyed. Make sure to play around with buttons to understand the ways you can control the experience. I bought it on sale for $0.99 which makes it very easy to recommend. $5 is the same as DMT, which as I said I would recommend before this one (I noticed another review said the opposite - but DMT has been updated a lot since that review, so I wonder if that user would change their mind!). But if you're into interesting visualizations in VR, it may be worth spending another $5 on this one as well.
