Dino-Ducks Mayhem adds a unique spin on the "20 minutes per run" genre popularized by Vampire Survivors. I have really enjoyed playing this game. The gameplay is engaging and enjoyable, and I have had a great experience with it overall. I look forward to more. One aspect that stands out to me is the artwork, which is very well done and adds a lot to the game's atmosphere. While I think both versions of the game are very good, I prefer this version slightly more than the previous one. The changes and improvements have made the experience more enjoyable for me. That said, I also liked the earlier version and think both are strong in their own ways.

As an Early Access build I'm liking the game a lot! Needs some more metaprogression and overal polish but I seem to keep coming back for some play sessions. Awesome game in my book!

A really fun Vampire Survivors-like that has an unceremonious introduction and a slow start but builds up to an addictive loop of moving across the map, collecting resources and weapons, and creating a build that feels like you're breaking the game. There are a lot of stutter issues (at least on the Steam Deck) the closer you get to the end-game of a map which need to be fixed, but they also (unintentionally) add to the illusion of your "game-breaking" run. There are lots of different item combos that make for new weapons and each weapon has its own fun animations and sound effects. The ultimate chaos at the end of each run is super satisfying. The two big downsides of the game are the music and the UI. The music is pretty low-beat and boring throughout, although the in-game sound-effects aren't too bad. The UI is poorly implemented for controllers and for all the nice art in the game, the effects and animations for stores and menus (and especially the treasure chests) are so uninteresting, when they should be bonkers and over-the-top.
