This is one of my absolute favourite games when I was a kid, learning about dinosaurs. I would play this for hours and hours, and now seeing this here on Steam just brings joy to my heart, knowing I can finally play this again. Oh, the childhood memories... Thank you for bringing this game back.1 found this helpful
While definitely outdated in a lot of its information and graphics, there is still a shocking amount of facts that hold up decently well and the gameplay itself still runs as smoothly as I remember. I absolutely adored this game as a kid and played it so much that the disc wore down, so I'm glad a version of it exists now that I can use to relive my childhood without having to worry about actually damaging the game. While the story is nothing special, it serves as a good enough setup that will keep your dinosaur-obsessed child/inner child engaged nearly the whole time, and it educates about paleontology in an easily digestible way as you play. Although, I wouldn't blame parents or nostalgic adults if they occasionally get annoyed by the dialogue because this does definitely skew towards a pretty young demographic despite its decent science. Regardless, you can tell that a lot of love and work went into this game to not just capitalize on the dinosaur craze of the 90s but also make sure it was as enjoyable for players as possible. This is game was my childhood. Love that I could replay it on steam.
Wild I was just thinking about this game again recently I haven't played this is like 25 years, I'm impressed the cd rom port didn't have any compatibility issues. Already hatched 2 eggs lol
