3D Dinosaur Adventure

So happy to see a childhood favorite be made accessible again. I hope some day they add the option to boot up the game in the Anniversary Edition, that's the one I grew up with and while there weren't a ton of changes I liked the menu lay out more.

Banger. Dinos are rad, and this is rad.

A core memory has been unlocked with this game. My 4 year old loves this game as much as I did when I played it in the 90s!

As a +30 year old that had this game as a child, I admit I was actually getting into this game after purchasing. The calm voice, that vintage soundtrack, old artwork, and some of the cheesiness for kids; was just a calm and joyful time. Good chuck of you may not have grown up with this, but if you have small kids, I'm sure they'll love it ..... just so you know that there are indeed 3-D moments here. Which requires those old red and blue glasses. And there is one other issue, I noticed something missing. In the theater section, when you click on a video, the narrator is supposed to comment on each video; yet his voice clips are missing. You can hear him in other parts of the game, but not here. Not sure if this is a bug or something outside related. just seems so odd it's left out.

Jurassic Park for babies. Despite its age, it holds up pretty well and I wouldn't mind plopping down a toddler infront of this to learn some (possibly outdated) facts about dinosaurs. Much better than Fortnite or Hentai Heaven or whatever else the kids play on Steam these days.

I can't say the dino facts all hold up today, because they certainly don't... it mislabels some animals (Sarcosuchus as Deinosuchus, for example) and has outdated information (such as Oviraptor being an egg-eating ornithomimosaur, when it was neither, or featuring Ultrasaurus, which is no longer valid)... and everything is super pixelated since it was designed for screens that were 800x600 at best. Pretty much what you'd expect from a game published almost 30 years ago. I'm still glad it's been made available again, since this was something I spent hours playing as a kid. Very nostalgic. If you have really little ones who like the read-alongs and the 90s animatronic videos, they might enjoy it. It has a good variety of dinosaurs in it (including ones that don't get mentioned all that often even today, like Avimimus, Telmatosaurus and Patagosaurus), talks about subject like dinosaur classification, and has illustrations from artists like Mark Hallett, Douglas Henderson, and Gregory Paul.
