A cute little game of a dodo trying to get her eggs back. The hitbox can be a little weird sometimes and the levels can be unforgiving at times, but overall it's enjoyable for what I've played so far. Trying to get all the eggs can be a challenge on some levels, but there doesn't seem to be a life limit, so you're free to try as much as you want as long as you don't mind restarting from that checkpoint in the level. The animations for the dodo are very cute, and the sound effects are almost nostalgic of old flash games. The dramatic music fits oddly well, too.5 found this helpful
First off thanks to the kind dev for providing a review copy of the game. Game is fairly standard as far as platformers go perhaps even slightly below average as some of the hitboxes are a bit iffy and the music sounds like stock music from some cheap website. It's aight but probably very overpriced for what it is. Even on sale.3 found this helpful
There’s not much of a story here beyond a female Dodo breaking out of her cage in a dungeon and trying to recover her stolen eggs. She’s angry, determined, and unwilling to let anything stand in her way, even though she can’t take much punishment and the dungeon is packed with traps and hostile creatures. The controls are kept simple because the bird doesn’t have many abilities. Since this is a platformer, the most important move is the jump, which already includes a double jump. You’ll also use it to defeat enemies by stomping on them and to smash wooden objects beneath you. You begin in a room with several doors, and while you can enter any of them in whatever order you like, it’s easier to go through them one by one so you don’t lose track of what you’ve already completed. Each door leads to a small set of mostly linear stages where the main goal is simply reaching the exit. Eggs are scattered throughout the levels and hidden inside breakable objects, but thankfully you don’t need to collect every single one to progress. That said, completionists may end up frustrated. The game only keeps a general egg counter instead of showing how many eggs are hidden in each stage. Collecte…1 found this helpful
