About Don't Drop The Cake: Prologue

This horror game is impossible for cowards to beat

"Don't Drop The Cake" is a horror game where you must carry a wobbly cake while navigating a space infested with terrifying creatures.

No matter how hard you try to hide your fear, it's obvious

Even if you say, "Fear is not in my vocabulary," deep down, you might be scared. In this game, you must use your mouse to balance the cake and prevent it from falling. If your hands start to shake or you panic, the cake will fall, and your fear will be exposed for everyone to see.

Face Unique and Terrifying Creatures

In this game, you'll encounter uniquely designed, terrifying creatures unlike anything you've seen before. Use your wits and courage to avoid getting caught by them.

I really love the simplicity of the game. to me, it was actually fun. The scares were cheap but at least it works. The more you get used to it, the more you'd know how to play it. Overall, 8/10

Don’t Drop The Cake: Prologue is a game with one simple goal: carry the cake. Unfortunately, the cake is apparently made of nitroglycerin, your character is made of elbows, and gravity is personally invested in your failure. You’ll start off optimistic: “Okay, we’ll move slowly, communicate, and deliver this cake like professionals.” Two seconds later someone bumps a doorway, the cake does a triple axel, and the team instantly enters the five stages of grief—except it’s just stage one: **screaming.** The prologue is a perfect bite-sized taste of the full experience: it teaches you the basics and then immediately tests your friendships by forcing you to coordinate like a heist crew… except the treasure is frosting and the alarm is your teammate yelling “NOOOO” in Dolby surround sound. And the comedy is automatic. Every attempt produces a new blooper: * cake wedged in a corner * cake launched off a ledge * cake sacrificed for “speedrun strats” * cake dropped by the person who swore they had it **Pros:** * Hilarious with friends * Quick rounds, instant chaos * Success feels like winning the Olympics **Cons:** * Doorways become boss fights * Your hands forget how to hold thing…

"Don't Drop The Cake" is a very engaging game about... you guessed it, trying not to drop the cake. The balancing mechanic is really easy to get the hang of! I will say, the concept of using fear to try to get the player to drop the cake is really interesting! And seeing all of the different tactics of fear the game uses to try to make the player drop the cake. Personally, I didn't get very scared by any of the scares in this game except for one which was a motion cue around the start of the game, all of the other things I was able to see coming, or just didn't think they were scary. The movement mechanics are decent and they aren't really bad, and neither are the graphics/quality, everything seems to tie together nicely and it actually looks pretty good. But a lot of the paintings, and a few other things sort of seem out of place, like they just don't belong and I don't really think they look good. After reading some other reviews on this game a lot of people are mentioning the AI paintings, and this is exactly what I'm referring to. Something I personally didn't enjoy was near the end of the Prologue, like the "last scene" in the metal area, I thought it didn't really fit the …
