"We are nearly through the passage, the storm bites at our heels, and the crew whispers of blood and dark magic." - Captain's Log April 1847

"We are nearly through the passage, the storm bites at our heels, and the crew whispers of blood and dark magic." - Captain's Log April 1847

- Survive the Arctic
Build fires to stay warm, fend off wolves and other predators, and hunt for food to stay alive in the brutal and unforgiving Canadian Arctic. - Betray Your Friends
Feed them tainted food, lure animals to attack them, hex them with blood magic, or if all else fails… just shoot them in the back. - You Are What You Eat
In the Arctic, you’ll have to make some grim choices to stay fed. Butcher bodies and use the pieces as weapons - or food. - Captain a Ship
Steer a 19th century warship around (or into) icebergs. Find coal for the ever-hungry boiler to keep the ship moving... or blow it up. - Brave a Perilous World
Plan around a full day and night cycle, contend with unexpected whiteouts, and try to outrun a massive blizzard that looms over the expedition.

as far as I'm aware. the game was removed from the store because they couldn't afford to keep the official servers up. which is not what I would have done. rather I'd have kept it on the store but shifted to players creating private servers. that way ppl can still get the game and play with their friends. unfortunately that's not what they did, and I'm the only one in my friend group with this game. I'd have loved to play it with them but unless there's a way to share my copy with them so they can play- the game will just sit in my library till the end of time.5 found this helpful
Bring servers back - I'm sure people would pay for a DLC just to bring official servers back for a year. This legit is one of the best deceit games on the market - you have a strong economic moat and loyal community.4 found this helpful
It's alright.
Imagine playing over 6,000 hours of a game just to leave a negative review. TOUCH GRASS LOSER! HAHAHAHAHAHA!
Dread Hunger is a social survival deception game that blends Arctic expedition survival with hidden betrayal mechanics. On the surface, it’s about managing hunger, cold, and resource scarcity while trying to keep a stranded crew alive. Underneath, it’s a paranoia-driven social deduction experience where one or more players secretly work against the group. The strongest aspect is the tension between cooperation and suspicion; trust is constantly questioned, and even small mistakes can spiral into accusations or sabotage. The survival systems give structure to the chaos, but the real game emerges from player interaction rather than mechanics alone. It can be heavily dependent on group quality; with engaged players, it’s unpredictable and intense, but with disorganized lobbies it can feel uneven or frustrating. Recommended if you have a consistent group.
Fun party game but unless you have 4 or more friends it's not worth it
