Players appreciate this as a solid successor to Eternal Dread 3, praising improved combat mechanics, expanded character customization options, better clothing variety, and a smooth gameplay experience that evokes classic PS1/PS2 JRPGs. However, some feel the game is missing features from its predecessor like death animations, detailed dialogues, a bottomless chest storage system, and more character customization choices overall, while a few note that certain difficulty settings don't feel appropriately challenging.
Man, I never though "Hitbear Studio" will read our review but if they do. Thumbs up and love (not in the gay way) to them. This game is a big improvement from the last game "Eternal Dread 3". Sadly they are not the same story... But it okay, I still like the story, only the story plot need some improvement. As for the combat is much better. Just the double jump no longer available unless you unlock the signet that said double jump. And the best, they make more clothing and our main character and other know how to put on some clothing. Look I find with girl try too hard to be 100% sexy attractive, but if there an option to make them look pretty attractive as an option. It will be great female character game. Recommend: 1. You can change the main character look into someone else even elf! 2. You can put on hat, ribbon and more like cat ear! 3. The site characters can join you in the end of the story 4. You can kidnap the female enemy and sell them or brainwash them by punish them 5. I don't know how, but some how the main character have "Vergil" bloodline in you 6. You don't have to clear all the dungeon before complete the main story 7. You don't have to worry and the NPC die, you …7 found this helpful
DISCLAIMER: At the time of submitting this review, I have yet to finish the story. This is easily my current favorite to the hack & slash collection at the moment, out of the story rich ones at least. The game is all about going around, eliminating the enemies, and progressing the story. Some options that expand on the character customization are there, but they're mostly not that significant, i.e. you do get to change outfits, accessories, hairstyle, eye color, and hair color. The story that the game carries didn't seem to have anything related to the time pressure, so the player can choose when to complete the story objective without having to worry about some timeout or additional consequences. Losing in a fight and getting the game over mostly sets the player back to the latest checkpoint, but also includes some of the enemies capture the protagonist instead. The protagonist then has to escape without being seen; Once again, without any time limit, just gotta pick the proper timing. If seen attempting to escape however, then there comes the game over. Characters do seem to have somewhat deep personalities that are developing throughout the story, and are very natural. I ha…4 found this helpful
This reminds me of the action RPG games of the late 90s and early 00s before everything turned into soulslikes. That should honestly be everything I need to tell you - it's an old school RPG adventure game with responsive combat that relies on a gratuitous selection of character abilities. Not wasting the player's time is the key feature here, as the game very quickly gives you access to a lot of different abilities and weapons to play around with. The biggest gimmick is capturing enemies and torturing them to turn them to your side, which is always a cool idea and I hope they expand on it in the later games. Unfortunately for most of the story quests a story character will accompany you and your captured companion will be forced to sit it out as you are limited to just one additional party member. In the future I hope this will be expanded to at least allow for one captured companion on top of whoever the story provides you with, and optimally a whole gang of mindbroken minions to follow me around on adventures. Companions cannot be directly controlled but do have their own class-specific abilities which they will use at will, and powerful converted allies can make dungeons a bree…3 found this helpful
Super fun game, enjoyed all the cool new mechanics and upgrades in the game. It feels real smooth and keeps you entertained. If you played Eternal Dread 3 this is a pretty good revision, however, I just feel like this game is missing all the cool death animations and little dialogues when you would die I hope you guys add that into the game in a later update.3 found this helpful
Enjoying the game a lot. It brings back old JRPG memories of playing video games. I hope the devs makes more of this game.3 found this helpful
The Good: - Wide range of skills (with the ability to reset skills with a good price), runes and signets - Better Archer and Mage skills - Character Customization - Somewhat skimpier outfits than Eternal Dread - Good bondages. From you get to "toy" with them to that you're a "toy" (game mechanically and plot wise) - Faster Leveling - Great Music - Photo Shooting - Enchantments that you can transfer and override - The Black Market - New Game+ The Bad: - Does not have bottomless chest storage - Despite with Character Customization, there is much less choices than Eternal Dread 3 - No Engineering Class - Cannot take more than 1 prisoner with you - 1 Prison outfit only - Some music are "questionably cringe" in some scenes - No Game Over Essay. - Death Sentence difficulty isn't really difficult as from Eternal Dread2 found this helpful
