Eternal Dread 3

Eh its pretty generic game with a very generic plot and world building and really boring character design just play Atlyss instead, much better in every single way.

You come across this while zapping through Steam, thinking low budget eroge, ready to move to the next release, but wait, what's that about 8 playable classes? Warrior, mage, rogue, engineer, and a bunch others, each with a number of different skills, melee with stuns and knockdowns, big flashy elemental spells, summons, traps, decoys, what? You give it a try and eventually find it's a surprisingly fun low budget mix of Diablo/Elder Scrolls, with actually fun loot that lets you customize your set AND affixes without wanting to punch a developer that thought random affix upgrades are fun *glare at most Diablo-likes*. And here we are, putting a number of hours unthought for an unknown little indie game with a few different characters each with a different dual class combination, crafting some op combos and running across secret super bosses in a fun set of interconnected open areas. What a strange surprise this was, unfortunately they seem to have gone a few important steps backwards with Dread Trials, I hope they re evaluate and see the greatness they had here. Also, big *** companies check how to make a fun and very replayable game without risking all your $$$$$

5/10. I'd say it's a bad game that is still fun to play. I'd say the appeal to this game is that it at least get's the progression and variety in monsters and biomes right, and you can make a cute anime girl to roam the map and power up. I found the game to be more fun the longer it went on for, the combat can get pretty hectic depending on the two classes you have by the midpoint. If it weren't for the really janky combat mechanics it would easily be a 6/10 action RPG. I think $15 is too much though so grab it with some other stuff during a seasonal sale like I did and it should be a fun distraction for a few days.
