Note: Dead PvP game This game contains no meaningful single player content. There's no viably populated servers/active player population. This game cannot be played as intended.
When I first loaded this up I thought, yep, another mobile app cash grab scam. But I couldn't find the toxic monetisation... this mobile app is truly free. Then I discovered, also, that you usually get what you pay for, in this case, nothing of value. This was intended to be a little PvP centric mobile app deckbuilder where you set up your deck then plod through various PvP matches, and a slightly welcome turn based tactical grid element... but with only 800 odd cards, this is no competitor to Hearthstone or MTG, and the actual rest of the game is a train wreck. It's an imbalanced clunky mess, and without any anticheat, if it did have any players they would all immediately destroy you because the back door is wide open. It's obvious there's no polish, testing or basic quality elements here... despite being truly free (and while ethics are mandatory, so is talent), the production values are through the floor. This is a dead PvP game. Why did "Duelyst GG" fail? Time for a vide…1 found this helpful
If you liked Duelyst 1, you’re in good hands.
Duelyst GG successfully preserves the core qualities of the original but trims the fat and adds some smart upgrades. What’s different (and better): 1. Every card is unlocked from the start, so you can immediately dive into wild deck‑building experiments. 2. New cards that open up fresh strategies. 3. Balance tweaks that help smooth out rough edges. 4. Faster matches and simpler deck management. There’s a neutral faction, packed with cards of any other faction that slot into any deck and help round things out. And unlike the original, every faction and card is available from day one — no grind and no nonsense. Genuinely a clever shift. Overall, it feels like the game developer took the best parts of Duelyst 1, refined the formula, fixed long‑standing issues and handed players more freedom than ever. Solid improvements all around.1 found this helpful
I've missed Duelyst. I've enjoyed the music, Sarlac the Eternal, and playing with my friend. Scarzig backstab is brutal.
It's a fun game. I don't know what else i can say. The card interactions are interesting. The strategic board play is interesting. But the obvious thing is nobody is playing, so you can have some fun playing the ai. I wish the ai had more decks. Then it would at least be a fun PvE and I don't know how power creeped the cards are since i haven't played much pvp it's a cool game. I wish there were more games like this
