I don't understand progression in this one. One moment you are upgrading your 50 damage sword and getting +4 damage upgrades, the next moment you're suddenly getting +3000 damage upgrade, making your gear completely irrelevant? Feels like the progress should've been more gradual.

Id like to give the game a mixed review, but I cant. I got it 40% off and it was servicable, there are way better premium and even free idle/incremental games out there. Rough playtime of about 4h.

Even though there's not much, the satisfying resource-gathering and skill tree upgrading justify the purchase, especially with how low the price tag is, plus the sale. Good demo, showcases the gameplay loop and how the progression looks like, should help you decide if you're on the fence. The endless mode is kinda meh, I just felt unkillable and quit on the 40-somethingth floor eventually, no real reason to play it in the first place with how shallow the upgrades are, especially with no achievements or rewards. I don't fw snoozefest idler/clicker games at all actually, more of a roguelite enjoyer, but here the gameplay was relatively engaging, the design - cute, and the low price gamble was worth taking, even if on paper - the game isn't the best for my personal tastes. There are some hints of roguelite/collectathon routine I like though, and while I'd prefer games in those genres any day of the week, this little mix has enough little elements of different satisfying genres, plus the visual appeal, which makes Duncrush deserve a spot in my library and a positive review.

very fun, click to move mechanic, hover option would be neat if possible. small to medium length, enjoyable without overstaying welcome. I enjoyed the smooth upgrading system and diff biomes/music per biome. thank you for your work, the game was thoroughly enjoyed.

The game is OK. It is nothing more than that, but also maybe nothing less either. It doesn't really do anything wrong, but also doesn't offer anything special to stand out. It's a near picture perfect definition of "mid", and lets not really kid ourselves here, the genre of short incrementals has long grown past the point where games like this can keep up with the rest of the pack. The gameplay is basic: only not a complete idler by mere technicality, and hardly changes or becomes more complex at all throughout the game. There is effectively no skill expression at all. Your character has 2 different abilities, but you aren't able to control them, which greatly impacts how effective and fun they actually are. The skiltree is basic: At least it isn't on rails like some other games, but it is small, uninspired, lacks synergy, and is a bit hamfisted in several areas (EXTREME disparity between the power of Armor versus Health. This is usually a core incremental skilltree interaction, but I have never seen it so polarizing before, Health upgrades are nearly worthless) The supplemental features are basic: You have a standard goal system that rounds things out a little bit but doesn't …

Very good game for fans of rogue-like games. Extremely good $/hr ratio. No idea what replayability is like, yet.
