Dungeon and Gravestone offers procedurally generated dungeons filled with puzzles, where players must brave the dangers below while managing resources and upgrading their equipment above. Quests, boss battles, and item collection provide a decent variety of challenges, but unfortunately, the game is a disappointing console port plagued by numerous problems and a poor control scheme. It was clearly designed for use with a game controller, and the lack of mouse support makes navigation and gameplay frustratingly difficult. Simple actions like moving the map requires a gamepad. Opening chests often leads to glitches and game-breaking bugs. Malfunctioning magic commands, unreachable objects, and broken achievements, greatly diminishes any potential enjoyment. Also, the developer's unresponsiveness to player feedback and bug reports only adds to the frustration. Overall, Dungeon and Gravestone feels like a half-baked port that fails to deliver a satisfying gaming experience. Eh, unfinished. I have to return this since there are no update news. I don't like to pay this much, usually, for abandonware. I'm sad because this game had a lot of potential (I like a lot of things about it). Edit: Unlike the other reviewers I had no problem with the controls. I used an Xbox Series S/X controller or whatever it's called, just wired up USB to my Windows PC.14 found this helpful
Dungeon and Gravestone is an action-focused dungeon crawler developed and published by Wonderland Kazakiri inc. that blends roguelike structure, real-time combat, and RPG progression into a constantly shifting world built around risk, repetition, and adaptation. From the very beginning, the game establishes a tone of unease and urgency, presenting a realm on the brink of collapse where survival is never guaranteed and every descent into the dungeon feels like a gamble. Rather than guiding players through a fixed adventure, it emphasizes cyclical exploration, asking you to learn through repeated failure, gradual improvement, and an ever-changing environment. The dungeon itself is the core of the experience and functions as more than a simple collection of rooms. Each descent reshapes the layout, enemy placements, traps, and rewards, ensuring that familiarity never becomes complacency. This procedural design encourages players to rely on situational awareness rather than memorization, constantly evaluating threats and opportunities as they appear. Adding to the tension is the game’s life-draining mechanic, which steadily depletes your vitality the longer you remain inside. This crea…4 found this helpful
