i played the collectors edition a long time ago and it was fun but BUGGY AS HELL and the multiplayer didn't work in the slightest. i am very glad that the steam edition fixed pretty much all of the major issues and the multiplayer works well! fun little old game try it out!

So I finally completed the game... what a love and hate relationship. Dungeon Lords has a charming World of Warcraft visual tone from the UI and view perspective but there is way more mechanics under the hood. You can jump and vault on objects and destroy the environment which opens the door for cool stuff to happens in dungeons. The dungeons: - Expect a ♥♥♥♥ you every time you look for direction in this game lol. Its a figure it out yourself you ♥♥♥♥♥♥ experience. YET SO REWARDING - The lack of information added to the ruthless difficulty of some of the puzzles makes you both want to give up on the game and love it even more once you succeed. - Expect traps, loots, puzzles and bosses etc The exploration: - You are thrown in the wild and wonder around trying to get the story to progress with 0 hands holding. - You are rewarded but VERY rarely when you explore the wilderness by finding some hidden chests around. - The quests logs is less than basic other than letting you know that there is a quest lol. The combat and level progression: - This is very Hack n slashy and quite fun to move around during the fights doing sidesteps, jumps and rolls, lots of freedom to approach the …

This game sucks theres literally too much loot and inventory management. and the games clearly made for 4 people because the enemies never stop spawning. Another incredible game thats ruined by like 1kb of bad developer settings

The gameplay imo is a bit better compared to the Collector's Edition. But if you're buying this game for the multiplayer, don't. The netcode is god awful. It can take upwards to 15 seconds or more for the game to finally register that you pressed left mouse to attack. Such a great game, but ruined by a somehow worse multiplayer experience. Yet I had fewer problems with Collector's Edition. I dunno how you manage to make the multiplayer of a remake worse than it's original on accident. Because it feels like it was made bad on purpose.
