Dungeons of the Obelisk

A fun gameplay loop, run dungeons, get gear, level/paragon, run higher level dungeons, get better gear... So on so forth. Beautiful sprites, lots of customization. Developers are pretty cool. Give the game a try!

Dungeons of the Obelisk is a cute turn-based Diablo-like auto battler dungeon crawler that's pretty much perfect to leave running while I work from home during the day.

this game is good atleast its not team base and u find alot of gear in the dungeon and its not pixal graphics to the scence its not all blurry cool thing u get to create a boy or girl character any way u choose too so its everything i was looking for in a game ofc it has legendary gear as well it also has pay options for those that want to but dont really need too

6/10 2D semi-autobattler TLDR: A f2p, fairly simple RPG with RPGMaker-like battles yet with much better UI and controls. You will find yourself keeping auto-exploration and even auto-combat on most of the time as it gets grindier. Good: + there is clearly a Diablo or Path of Exile feel here + controls are pretty fluid, with minimal clicks required for combat (in stark contrast to the garbage you usually get from RPGMaker game developers in the same genre/type) So-so: +/- battles here are like in RPGMaker and lack movement. This already makes them simpler tactically. Then also, with just 1 character under control and most weapons having only 1 attack type (until level 3), all you do is perform the only possible attack type. You end up keeping battles on auto except the rare cases (after level 3) when you have enough mana for AOE attacks +/- exploration of levels is tedious because of lack of a minimap. So, automating movement with "auto" mode is clearly advantageous. This results in a pretty dull game where you mostly just check what items were looted in the last battle and sometimes equip them. Sometimes you drink a potion. To call this a TBS game or even an RPG would be too muc…

If you want an addictive, chill, and fun dungeon crawler, then click that download button! The team is super nice and have done an amazing job building this game! I invited two of my friends to play and they both have played longer than I have, finding new items, mobs, and parts of the game that we all love! Keep up the good work Dev team!

Not recommending this game for the time being, here's why: Buggy mess: Everytime I log out, my astrolobes or crystals, sometimes both would get subtracted for no reason, unable to buy those legendary companies/artifacts. Lack of content: once you reach level 10, you unlock paragon, a prestige-like leveling system that sets you to mindlessly grind either breach, obelisk, or talking to the jester and repeat the cycle, that's it. Do I want this game to improve? Absolutely. But, for now it's incomplete and buggy. I would come back to this game later in the future.
