Genre - Turn based combat with RPG elements sent in a post apoc world I played the original Dustwind game not long after release, and I loved the mechanics. it really scratched my turn based combat itch, The problem was there was no campaign only scenario maps. But with the varied steam achievements I used these to push me through playing the game more. This game seemed to drop under my radar at a time when I have been searching for accessible turn based games. Luckily I spotted it and used a valuable Saturday sesh. on it. Problem is I went to bed at 4am. Playing on normal, I am dying at times to set instant kill map placements, so regular saves are useful. Each mission has a unique map and objectives on rails. But stealth is very much optional. You get to level up once at the end of a mission, with varied upgrades and can find loot to horde or sell, but there is no storage. However, the devs have kindly dropped a shop at the end of both missions I was over loaded. It plays a bit like a more polished Fallout Tactics. I stopped at a point where you get to use different characters, which looked fun. I'm hoping to finish this and get onto the next DLC at some point. I just …

Reminded me of old school fallout. Pretty short game. No side quests. Just story line. It was fun. I am done.

Gameplay is the same as the first game. (i.e. like Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel Tactics in real-time mode) The HUD has been changed, it provides much more screen space but is less aesthetically pleasing. Skill point allocation has been changed so you can only distribute points at the beginning of levels. A few new weapons were added as well as 2 new low lvl armors and 2 new vehicles (the vehicles exist, but aren't used much). Like the first game you play a preset character in the campaign (no character creation). The story is a bit better than the first and characters have more depth. Like the first game, about 90% of what you fight are raiders. It's a fun game, especially if you like post-nuclear apocalypse settings. I'd recommend it for $15 or less or in a bundle sale.

A nice spiritual successor to Fallout Tactics that scratches that itch for a active squad tactics game. Campaign is ok and UI is decent. Replayability is relatively high with skirmish and map editor. All in all a good enjoyable relaxing experience.

I am really not into war games that much, but this one is interesting enough to play as a pass time. it is worth owning a Copy in my Opinion for those that are into Action Strategy Games.
