[h1] [b]Underwater king of Atlantis[/b] This time encounter same enemies dozen of times for power ups (grind). Once stocked it's time to face the boss. To find location navigate minimap but it doesn't help much as it show only boss location, finding path is another story. Good thing are multiple boss battles (41 in total) but they all feel a bit similar. Game gets repetitive too often, playing for an hour felt like a chore. You can unlock new ships, but for the time I played I didn't manage to unlock any. Visuals are hand drawn sketches set in monochrome color. Gameplay is mediocre at best. Most of the time you're about to gather power ups for main weapon or support. After destroying each boss, path to the next area will open allowing to explore further into the depths. When you die it's game over, repeat whole run again. Soundtrack is bad. To be honest spare yourself this one and go with Aquatic Adventures of the Last Human or Song of the Deep. [/h1]

Saw the art, looked kinda cool, thought maybe it'd scratch that Prehistoric Isle or good old arcade shmup itch. NOPE, F**king NOPE. This game is like watching paint dry. Repetitive AF, they copy pasted the same three enemy patterns for the whole damn game. Weapon variety? What weapon variety? You get like one main thing and maybe a secondary that barely changes anything. Oh, you unlock like five submarines, but they all handle like a brick tied to another slightly heavier brick. Seriously, they all feel exactly the same. And the pacing, oh my God, the pacing. It's supposed to be a boss rush kinda thing, but It's a f**king boss crawl. You spend an ETERNITY just fumbling around this g*rbage maze of a map trying to FIND the next boss. And then another eternity trying to actually GET to it. The map design is pure trash, genuinely makes you want to smash your screen. This game made me FALL ASLEEP with the controller in my hand, multiple times, I couldn't keep my eyes open because it's so mind numbingly boring. So yeah, didn't finish it, not going to. Earth Atlantis is a 2D Bullet-Hell Microvania where you play as a submarine that is sent by the base on a distress call to save the west see from the creatures invasion. The game offers a small micro map where you navigate through routes under the sea with your submarine, the map is showing locations of the bosses that you need to take out one by one. You will be swarmed with enemies from each corner. What I liked about the graphics is that it represents the palette color of an 80s film, it's rare and unique. The controls were pretty flawless and it can get chaotic as well when you're swarmed by dozens of enemies along with your upgrades whether it's homing missiles, bombs or beams. The game has no upgrade systems, you find upgrades by either destroying barrels/boxes or from killing small enemies. Your job is to try to not get hit / die as you lose them and it can sometimes take time to recover them again after losing them. The OST and music was relaxing and it was enjoyable to listen to while navigating the depths of the sea, especially when it intensifies while facing bosses. it's okay, it's a small game, the design is neat, but it has as much content as a Flash game. I put a thumb down because the stock price of $15 is ridiculous, and on the very first screen I got assaulted with the climate scam.

Not recommended - this game is HARMFUL TO YOUR HEALTH and WILL REDUCE YOUR MAXIMUM LIFESPAN. Bluntly put, the game has practically every single bad game design besides touching the walls killing you and time limits. The list of the game design annoyances could fill a book. The game is pretty simple: WSAD for movement, X for shooting and C for turning the sub (mostly used in boss battles when you need that little extra sub-weapon firepower.) You just kill everything and that is the full spoiler of the game. 1. The game running worse and less optimized than most games ten times bigger than it. 2. Touching enemies losing you a power up that you can only get randomly and that you need to have maxed out just to survive past early game. 3. Mandatory grinding. If you see yourself taking too much damage from a boss, you have to go back and grind both the health and (optionally, the the power loss is not that big of a deal against singular enemies such as MOST of the bosses) the power ups back up before you can continue.
