About Earth's Greatest Defender
Earth's Greatest Defender is a passion project that started in December 2021. It takes everything that we love about boomer shooters: fast paced action, loud weapons, tons of explosions, and a lot of obliterated aliens, all with the rhythm of a metal soundtrack.
It is a game about shooting enemies in the most badass way possible.
The game features a familiar set of weapons: machine gun, shotgun, rocket launcher, sniper rifle, and freeze gun. While basic, the real power of those weapons comes from switching between them to adapt to every situation, and combining them with the grappling hook.
Shooting aliens is fun, but doing it while flying around using the grappling hook is 1000% more badass. It is the real star of Earth's Greatest Defender. Grappling can be done on any part of the levels. You can use it to get the high ground, but you can also use it to move super fast and become an unstoppable alien-killing machine.
Built-in level editor
If shooting aliens isn't your thing (really, it should be), Earth's Greatest Defender also features challenge levels, where the goal will be to use the grappling hook and other movement techniques to reach the final teleporter.
If those levels still aren't enough, Earth's Greatest Defender features a map editor which allows you to create fun arenas in just a few clicks. Create the structure, add a few enemies, test it.
Once your level is cool enough, share it and it might just be featured in the game!

this is a very good fun game. its very fluid and smooth to play and its very nice to see a game i can play on my 7 year old dieing mac, its easy to run and supports mac os so all i can say is that its perfect and free! thanks to Remi for making this .

I was just scrolling randomly on steam and this game caught my eyes, so I checked it out, and I am glad I did. This game captures the principle of why I play games. I always wanted hop on and destroy aliens with loud guns while also challenging myself with high difficulty and trying to get the best speed. The shooting is clean and nice, the level design is well made, and the simple art style makes the game stand out more. Moreover, I really love the loud sounds that complement the action involved in the game. I also really liked the scoring system which encourages you to explore more and 100% everything. However there are a few things that can be improved. First of all, the game lacks a story. The idea is not that I care about a good story, I just want any simple story even if it's mid in order to have "purpose" of progressing the game so that the game is not just a sequence of fun levels, but also a sequence of events that build up to make a up a simple story. I care about the presence of the story more than the story itself. Another problem I faced is that while playing on hard mode (idk if this also applies to easier modes), I noticed that most weapons other than the shotgun and…
