About Earth's Shadow
Earth's Shadow is a third person action Sci-Fi dungeon crawler set in the year 3081 on planet Sumbra; a remote alien planet where legends of valuable relics surround this black world, calling to the greedy and brave explorers seeking a bright future... but end up uncovering an even darker past.
Working a dead-end job... Alexi-Ru, a cyborg CSP (cargo ship pilot), tends to fill the void-ness of his boring flight job by day-dreaming of the mysterious stories surrounding planet Sumbra, aka Earth's Shadow.
In the year 3081, the original Earth and it's galaxy has been dead for centuries, and although a few humans still exist, colonized in far away sectors... Earth's legacy is not forgotten with some even referring to Sumbra, as the shadow of Earth.
Intrigued by Earth's history, Alexi-Ru often finds himself flying millions of light-clicks off his normal cargo route just to speed by the mysterious planet, hoping to catch a glimpse of something on the alien surface via radar that might force him to slow down or possibly even stop.
Eventually Alexi-Ru's curiosity is justified when his ship encounters a malfunction one night, while passing by the tiny planet, forcing him to crash-land on the surface he dreamed of so often on previous flights.
Alexi-Ru remembers his attention right before the impending crash, focused on an un-jostled book, thrown from a compartment during the violent atmosphere re-entry, titled... "When Day-Dreams Turn To Nightmares"

A weird, semi-simple, and addictive explore'search'n'destroy looter-FPS with RPG lite elements. You explore 'rooms' in a strange, alien world. The said 'rooms' are ca. 100x100 meters places in which you shoot various enemies and occasional bosses, search for chests and hidden loot, you open doors (never enough access cards, hahaha), and solve little puzzles here and there. Once you finish a said 'room', you proceed to another one and rinse and repeat. There are probably some more elements to the game that I haven't noted. All in all, I join others in saying, "An impressive feat for one-man developer's show."6 found this helpful
Very much the definition of 'hidden gem'. A very solid and well made game. Reminds me of when game were just fun and had good solid mechanics. (works and looks fantastic in VR (with UEVR) too.)2 found this helpful

Decent little game from a solo dev. Didn't like it as much as vampirem but liked it enough to say it's worth the money. Story was longer than I thought but wish they had some sneaking elements to the game
Store page says it runs on Steamdeck but even at the lowest possible settings I am getting 15fps. Runs fine on my PC but there is a little jank at times. Still, I play on my steamdeck wayyyy more so I can't keep the purchase. It's fun, It's like a cheaper returnal. I had a pretty good time in the short time I played it.
For a one person team this game is really good. With that being said, every level is exactly the same. Kill monsters to open door. No puzzles, nothing else.
