Echoes of Dread

While the puzzling in this game is good, the enemy you face is just plain obnoxious. I played on normal mode (not nightmare) and I would go as quickly as I possibly could to get to the safe spots (next to lit candles) and half the time wouldn't make it. I felt like I was playing nightmare mode and would have to try the same part more than 3 times even when I knew what was coming when. And twice, I was right next to a lit candle and the enemy still got me. Just felt like the development of the enemy mechanic wasn't very unforgiving.

This is a really good game. I only play horror games and happy i found this one. Its really fun and scary definitely! worth it!

Short but sweet, the game works flawlessly. Take your time and read things. The candles will always go out right before she attacks. Never move away from the candle when she runs at you. The lights will always pop when she comes so don't rely on the to save you.

This is a very boring cheap indie horror puzzle game with uninteresting puzzles and cheap jump scares. There is also no manual save and if you quit playing and then continue you will lose a considerable amount of progress. You also cannot remap the controls and the only graphic option is low to ultra. This game also uses the Q key in order to interact with items, which is something I always find very awkward. Doors are also constantly being locked behind you. So if you forget to pick up the lighter from the first room, you are locked out from obtaining it until you find just the right item in your current area that will trigger the previous doors to unlock again. This game is also not scary at all in my opinion and the scares are just bad. The readables are also dull and uninteresting in my opinion. Overall, I did not enjoy my time spent with this game so I therefore cannot recommend it.
