Alright. Education is done and dusted. It’s been a while since I’ve played one of Tonguc’s games, but I’ve acquired a few between then and now, so no better time than the present to catch up on these titles. Education is definitely the most horror oriented of Tonguc’s games that I’ve played, which was a nice change of pace. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3146181645 It’s still a walking simulator with a couple puzzles and some minor exploration, but it’s also got a dark and oppressive atmosphere. I’ve seen people characterize this as an ugly game. This is false. It doesn’t however shy away from the grime of decay and neglect. One thing that separates Tonguc’s walking simulators from many others on Steam is that he takes a lot of pride in writing real stories that address real issues, and Education is no different. This one deals with life’s karmic repercussions for having been an unrepentant school bully. There were two minor jumpscares in the game, but otherwise, it’s all atmosphere and figuring out how to progress through this abandoned and decayed school where you had once been the rich kid bully, within which you now find yourself trapped. Don't be naughty in school. I'd give it a mid rating if I could. I'll give it a thumbs up just because of the atmosphere.

Visual and sound are excellent. Everything else... I'd just pass on this one. :)

Another walking sim by Tonguc Bodur, but this one is a change of pace. You play as a grown man re-visiting an abandoned school you attended and did some bad things at. Not a bad idea, but so much more could have/should have been done. The game has narration from the main character at a couple points, but as he's coming across reminders of his actions he never expresses any kind of remorse, which makes you wonder why he went there in the first place. Overall it felt a little hollow. But if you like this dev's work, it's worth checking out.

Another Tonguç Bodur walking sim. This one actually had a cohesive plot, as some of his games can get a little out there. The main character's backstory was really well written in notes scattered around the abandoned school, and is really a person you love to hate. The game is short, taking about 2 hours, and generally has a creepy vibe. There is only one jump scare near the end (that totally got me), but other than that is not really scary. But then again, I'm the one who walks through haunted houses with a goofy grin on my face the whole time instead of being any semblance of scared.
