Elemental War - A Tower Defense Game

If you want a single player campaign DON"T BUY THIS. After choosing Single Player you are just presented with a list of maps to mess around with.

This is shaping out to be the best, most challenging and unique Tower Defence game I have played. The uniqueness is the way towers can be upgraded using choice of 7 differing elements. Not only can the towers be upgraded to a higher level but can also be combined with another element producing more distinct towers. This gives you a total of 192 differing towers that can be built supporting your game style against the many various and harder enemies as the game ramps up. Has a very good tutorial, very nice and unique graphics and the ability to create your own maps. The devs are incredibly responsive to the player base, and act immediately to problems, requests and ideas / input on how to improve the game (take a look at the discussion page). Recommended.

Excellent TD, despite some performance issues. Reminds me of the good ol' days when I first started playing Element TD way back in 2006. The game comes with a plethora of quality of life improvements that enhances the playability of tower defense genre. I hope the developer is able to iron out the performance issues. Currently running a GTX1070.

About the game: It's a really good tower defense with lots of interesting features, but others have already said that. So, my thumbs up is mainly a shout out to the devs for their great support and continuous work: Elemental War sat in my library unplayed for quite some time because I prefer playing TDs, adventure games or more "casual" games (in terms of controls and gameplay) on my old convertible laptop - and the performance simpy wasn't good enough. One of the recent updates seems to have fixed that, it now runs absolutely smoothly! Keep up the great work!

I can understand that they have tried to make a good TD game. But this is not what you will find as a entertaining game for the price (20€ at the moment). The game is demanding a lot of your PC, and it is really messy when it comes to gameplay. Would not reccomend, but if you want to try it out and see for yourself, go ahead. thank god steam has a refund policy.

So far I am really loving the flexibility and just the sheer amount of OPTIONS you have when it comes to customizing each run. So many elements and combinations to choose from. My only complaint so far is that Multiplayer doesn't work at all. I cannot create a game, and there are never any to join. :(
