Each battle the player is given a score to get, by placing cards of equal color/value next to each other. This would be easy, but then curses come into play that change cards into a different value/color. However, they also increase the combo value of the card, so they can also be used to your advantage. The gameplay is overall fine, but the strategy is quite restrictive, or obvious. The more fun part comes from deckbuilding and upgrading until you have a good combo engine going, after which the game sadly becomes repetitive as you blast through the levels. The higher difficulties and new starting decks add some variety, but the gameplay loop remains the same. Overall the game is 'ok', and upgrading part was fun, but the decision making space is too limited for longer engagement expected from roguelikes or card games. It really feels like the game would be more suited for mobile and played in shorter bursts. …6 found this helpful
