It's 1944, D-Day a section of British paratroopers assault a gun emplacement German occupied France. But when a soldier mysteriously disappears, you enter an old manor house in search of the missing comrade, the horrors of its past begin to haunt the new occupants within its walls.

You play as Alfred Stuart a sergeant in the British Parachute regiment. Emiline: The Ghost of White Willow is a gripping VR survival horror game set in 1944, where players step into the boots of a British paratrooper who miraculously survives a harrowing landing in Normandy.

Whilst missing your unit, you must establish radio communication with the next section, you must navigate a sinister haunted house, desperately searching for a missing comrade. Unbeknownst to you, the vengeful spirit of Marrion, fuelled by a tragic love triangle with her husband and the maid Emiline, seeks to capture and exact revenge on the player, who she believes stole her prized gold, leading to a spine-chilling battle for survival and uncovering the house's dark secrets.

A gothic horror where love, betrayal and murder haunt every corner, the only way to survive is to embrace the darkness, face your fears, and grab your torch to reveal the truth.
Experienced on the Valve Index
So, I played this game for about 15 minutes and made some suggestions to the developer about gunplay, he then told me that this is not a FPS, it is a psychological horror game . I didn't know what he meant until I actually played through the game, this is Classic British Horror at its best . Some dark and twisted things happen is all I want to say. Executed well, the dev is doing more work on the game based on feedback. NPC animation & audio needs tweaking, gunplay is being updated also. I did stream the game, but I would advise against watching it as it will totally spoil your experience. Another solo indie developer pulls it out of the bag. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5lwy6vy0KTU8 found this helpful
First off this game looks amazing in the hmd. Yes it needs some polish but this solo dev is off to a great start. He recently hired a dev to help with cleanup..new interactions and extra story. Love how you are also a bad ass soldier in the beginning and then come to a mysterious house that strips you of your strength and makes you feel vulnerable from the paranormal. Great start White Willow Games! https://youtu.be/IkNRPXtQUaE4 found this helpful
Emiline: The Ghost of White Willow is a paid psychological horror VR game. It worked on my Index and HTC Vive system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok, was understandable. Has English voiceovers. Has 15 steam achievements. Maybe buy this, if you like psychological horror VR games. I got a free key for this from the Steam Curator program. I really want to like this game it blends two of my favorite genres wwii and horror but Im having a difficult time with the controls. It took me 30 mins to finally figure out how to get out of the pond you land in at the start of the game. Then I wander into the dark mansion and look, great, a lantern. I fumble to pick it up but finally manage to get ahold of it. Then I accidentally drop and cant pick it back up because somehow it is beyond my reach but my hand is right there above it. The handle looks like it is inside the floor. So im feeling around in the dark and manage to get into a room . I walked to the opposite wall and somehow Im back outside. I dont know if it is wall clipping or a secret door or whatever. I like the setting of this game and I really would like to explore it more, but Im just not getting the controls they seem like they are off a bit. And it is for that reason that I just cant recommend this game right now, I will check back int he future and hopefully things will have changed a bit.1 found this helpful
