My friend who I play Counter Strike with said if I post a review on End Chess Arrow and it gets 20 likes and 20 Awards that he will buy me a RTX 4060. So im just gonna leave this here. Help me bro

Oh, OK! After a small learning curve, I got in the groove with this and it's really fun! I definitely need to give it a few more runs, but I've had a great time so far. Neat!

"End Chess Arrow" is little to do with Chinese Chess, it's a really badly made minimalist turn based tactical strategy game that relies on either moving or shooting each turn. At what, and why? The developer didn't bother, there's no real backstory or motivation to play this in terms of narrative, and the phoned-in, lazy delivery doesn't offer any value either. The game is really simple and unambitious in terms of implementation, more of a tech demo or one of those cases where an amateur developer spends $100 to publish something on Steam Direct to see if it's possible. Yes, obviously it's possible. A proof of concept, tech demo, or something that's less than a little blip on the radar isn't offering anything truly valuable to gamers. This game features very lacklustre minimalist "art" for graphics instead of anything remotely contemporary. I'm sure the "developer" thought this would come across as "artistic", but it doesn't, it comes across as "really lazy". Yes, contemporary 3D graphics take a lot of time and effort to create. 4.5/10 Turn-based shooting at Chinese chess pieces TLDR: you face a squad of Chinese hieroglyphs that are apparently chess pieces on a board. You shoot at them from afar and upgrade your character's attack range and power. After a few battles, you get so overpowered that you usually just push the enemy king off the board with your first shot and win. Barely a neutral vote Good: + free + I guess there is an intricate combat system based on the Chinese variant of chess (which btw I don't know how to play) + lots of upgrades for your character which supposedly should have made for an interesting tactical game So-so: +/- I guess Chinese chess use hieroglyphs for presentation of pieces on the board(?) To a European, those are meaningless. There is a reason why games use 2D images or 3D "figurines" to represent pieces. E.g. a knight is usually a head of a horse. This makes the game agnostic to the culture of the player. Chariots, elephants, horsemen, archers and even kings looked more or less the same across all civilizations.
