Endless RPG - Untold Tales

Amazing little gem of a game! Excellent work, by a Brazillian single developer!! (I am a proud fellow Brazillian!) It reminds me of the old days of Mount & Blade, exploring the world and being amazed my procedurally generated events. But this time it's in a procedurally generated world! With towns nations and factions that actually trade and sometimes go to war! Also the relationship between party characters is very fun to play and watch develop. It's very easy to see that a lot of love was poured unto this one, contratulations!! I will see if I can contribute to build some Workshop mods too, very thrilled to see the Citizenship part of the game in action, maybe allow the player to found and manage a town? Who knows!

Exactly what we mean when we call something a "hidden gem".

Where has this game been hiding? This is a prime example of simple presentation hiding a massive level of creativity, I would say significantly more than the store page indicates. Several things weren't really clear to me regarding gameplay until I bought and began playing it, like the turn based combat being grid based rather than a static ATB final fantasy style system as some of the pictures would indicate. The level of interaction and jobs in towns aren't really mentioned other than talking about the dynamicism of the generated world, but to me it seemed from the store page like that world existed almost independently of the party's adventures, like it was just kind of a backdrop as you went dungeon diving. To clarify in case anyone had the questions I did after reading the store page, combat is movement and positioning based, the world exists parallel to your adventure with some opportunities to influence it in small ways, which is a really remarkable approach and makes your characters feel like citizens of the world you're in rather than the main characters. I was a little uncertain about the game, what with the mediocre graphics, but it manages to be a fun and engaging game pretty quickly. It's not a game that'll hold your hand and send you on a railroad adventure. It's one where you have to make your own way and decide what you want to do. The build variety is quite fun and I thoroughly enjoy how having one particular race and class can change the feel of the group. I've only tried a couple parties thus far but I'm looking forward to running good and scoundrel type parties since they're there. All in all, this is a great game for folk who want more of a sandbox type experience, who don't need some massive narrative to drive them along, and can enjoy a game that's plain fun. I paid full price for the game, gladly, and would do so again if I had to.

This game is so interesting! Definitely feels like a "make the game you want to play" in the most positive way! So much going on and so many cool factors: a kind of retro overworld, cave and ruin exploration, text based adventuring as well as turn based combat, crafting, shopping, amusing writing and character dialogue. I really didn't want to put the game down! I expect I'll be sinking many more hours into this one.

Bland and uninspired. Even at 50% off it felt overpriced. Combat was tedious and tactically brain dead. Lack of zones of control killed any sense of strategy. Enemies walk through your units to attack other units. Events and results felt entirely random. Courses of action seemed pointless. I'm baffled how it got a "Very Positive" rating.
