About Dustgrave: A Sandbox RPG

The mighty Dahlan Empire is falling, ravaged by a mysterious plague and internal unrest. While surviving powers and invading nations fight among themselves, adventurers and mercenaries venture inside this land full of opportunities.

Create your character and embark on an epic journey, enjoying complete freedom in a true sandbox RPG experience. Everything you do affects the world and its people. All important events are recorded. All characters will interpret what’s happening based on their morality and their faction.

The game’s narrative changes based on your choices and the people you help, making your adventure in the world of Dustgrave unique to you. The characters will judge your good and evil deeds based on their personality or faction. You may be a robber, despised by common folk, but selling stolen goods could kick-start your career in the local crime groups!Factions will fight against each other, pillaging and conquering settlements. Some may become major players in the area. Others may be destroyed forever.Create and customize your main character in every aspect, and roleplay your alter-ego in any way you want, without any external constraint.Carve your own path, whether you join the Astralite clergy to fight against the heretics or steal apples from commoners! Many paths are available to you: criminal mastermind, righteous hero, ruthless mercenary, or wise archeologist.Smash your enemies with a complex yet accessible turn-based combat system! Thanks to a unique combat system you can experiment with Skills and Items combinations. Find overpowered combos and destroy everyone stupid enough to fight you!Use a stealth system to do anything you want. Steal something? Check! Assassinate someone? Check! Watch people sleep? Check! Pickpocket Marco during a quest and use his keys to rob his house while he's still kidnapped? Quite specific, but still doable!

So, I bought this the moment it came out, played and got to the second randomized mission, which... didn't complete. "Okay, sure, early access, big dynamic world, I get it." Tried it again. New world, new character. Second randomized mission, couldn't complete. "Go kill these dudes", dudes are killed, but the quest was on "meet the dudes" even though they were infected. C'mon, guys - I know generated content requires some serious guardrails and stuff, but I feel like your QA process needs some... lots... of refinement. Maybe get it on sale if you're curious, but expect it to be a bit on the buggy side. Wait for release to see if they got stuff like this fixed.

Cool idea. Im a big Mount&Blade guy so this is a cool little chill version of it for me (still different in a lot of ways ofcoruse), plus it has some additional interesting mechanics. What i would change: 1) remove the X-X+30 damage stuff. You can just do "Average Damage: X +/-15" and then it will be much faster and easier to compare weapon damages. 2) The information provided for skills is a bit confusing, idk how to describe it though. 3) Add a way (like a bell you can ring) to get NPCs out of their beds if you really wanna do the trespassing and stealing stuff, although that part of the game is kinda unnecessary to me. 3) Mby add more microprogressions with weapons and armor. 4) One more face type that is round, but the same size as the two sharp ones

I wanted to like this game. Parts of it are cool. Map exploration, basic story. But it is completely bugged at campsites and some initial dialogue around fights. Also really long load times into campsites and towns. It needs more work.

Going to give it a thumbs up but... it don't really deserve it yet. Thumbs up for supporting this type of game as this is exactly the type of game I want to play. Open world exploration, factions, quests. good tactical combat. The game really needs to work on its bugs, optimization and the run time thru these zones youve been in 50 times in order to turn in quests.

It has potential. It still needs more audio and special effects, especially when actions, rewards, and trading occur, not only combat. I believe in the game. It has a very nice concept.

A must buy if not for you then for the pizza you never bought your dog or cat or for the seed you never fed those always starving wild birds. Wordlow Oliver 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
