"Escape from the Cursed Convent" is a narrative adventure game set in a medieval convent and it is a non official fan derivative work of the manga "Hengoku no Schwester."
Step into the 16th-century Holy Roman Empire through the eyes of Adeline, a young peasant girl whose mother is falsely accused of witchcraft. Adeline is sent to the Claustrum Convent for "re-education" where she faces a living hell of torment and executions.
Over the course of 5 to 8 hours, explore the convent’s dark world featuring subtle elements of gore and yuri. Determined to escape, Adeline and her friend Helena embark on a daring journey driven by themes of saintliness, freedom, and faith.

Персонажи, хоть и немного шаблонные, вызывают сочувствие, что добавляет мотивации к выживанию. Главный плюс игры - это саспенс. Никогда не знаешь, что ждет за следующим поворотом, что создает постоянное ощущение опасности. Единственный минус - иногда слегка запутанные лабиринты, в которых легко потеряться, но это компенсируется общей увлекательностью процесса. You know it's a really well made horror game when it can induce scary atmosphere even on broad daylight, and this game game did it amazingly!
At the time of writing this, I'm almost an hour into the game and I don't like it that much so far. I thought it was supposed to be horror but it seems too heavily focused around embarrassingly easy and lame minigames that it seems to congratulate you for completing, even though it wasn't that hard. I may or may not play some more, and if I change my mind, I'll update this review. But for now, I do not recommend.
can be played if you never read the original source, it was nice story.
Really needs better translation and proofreading. For a free game, this can usually be ignored, but it does ruin a lot of enjoyment of the story encountering so many errors and grammar mistakes. It's a interesting game, the QTE's timing hold it back. Would only recommend if you have good reading comprehension skills otherwise, you won't get a lot about of the games plot
