Not nearly as bad as people claim it is. Worried I might be spoiled, I finished the original before this one and I regret it, shouldn't have bothered and just completed this version right away. Those "early spoilers" that many criticize are no spoilers but a great addition to the plot so that plot twist doesn't come out of nowhere. I think people who ♥♥♥♥ on this release are biased and/or nostalgic. Strongly recommended. Runs flawlessly on linux out of the box.10 found this helpful

I think I quit this VN twice at first because I was very bored and couldn't for the life of me understand what the fuss was all about. But, on my third attempt, when I was done with the first two routes, it finally started to click and it became very thrilling. The end stretch is a rollercoaster of emotions, revelations and twists and it is simply one of the best I've read by far.4 found this helpful
