About Fallen Angel

Fallen Angel is a symphony of pixel art and demon-fuelled action. Fallen Angel is a 2D top-down ARPG with strategic fast-paced combat, lore driven items and weapons, and fun character progression to suit your preferred combat style. Set in a world inspired by biblical Apocrypha and more than a little modern style, the many realms of Heaven are a strange and varied place. Lucifer won’t just be slicing his way through pearly gates and angelic choirs, but strange high-tech constructs, idyllic earth-like plains, floating islands, and more. Each Archangel will have a strong, thematic influence on the environments and creatures the player will encounter in each realm.

A BEATDOWN OF BIBLICAL PROPORTIONS

As the Fallen one, you’ll be throwing down with all the armies of Heaven across a multitude of strange realms. From crumbling ruins and lush green valleys to cyberpunk nightclubs and to far stranger places beyond. you’ll have to contend with roaming and flying angelic beasts of all shapes, with wings, tentacles, too many eyeballs, and without a rosy-cheeked harp-playing cherub in sight.

FOES IN HIGH PLACES

Each of Heaven’s realms in Fallen Angel is ruled over by a powerful Archangel, their influence shaping the world around them, repainting all of creation in their own image. Explore these strange lands and challenge their lords in intense boss battles. Each boss has their own mechanics and strategies to overcome, tactics and strategy will matter.

AN UNRELENTING ASSAULT

Survive the angelic onslaught through mastery of Fallen Angel’s stylish combat. Launch your enemies into the air, juggle their helpless bodies with a flurry of attacks. Chain claw, blade, and gun attacks into ferocious combos. Witha wide array of weaponry available, players can choose their preferred combat playstyle. As you progress you'll be able to choose a variety of upgrades for your character allowing you to pick the upgrades that suit your playstyle or bolster your weaknesses.

A HEAVEN ALL OF OUR OWN

Fallen Angel is nothing without its fans and players. We’ve carved out our own special little circle of Hell, and invite you to join our Discord channel. Whether you’ve been cast out of Heaven or just like the sound of angelic bodies hitting the floor, come and say hello.

Oh wow I finished this game in 3 hours. Just a heads up: I finished the main campain once. I didn't go through any of the additional modes as it seems it's more of what the game already offers. Fallen Angel is a weird game. Right from the options, it feels like it's meant to be a speedrun-only game. And I feel like that's the optimal way to play it if you want to make the most of it. Playing it as an RPG will make the game way easier than it could be. But it also becomes a necessity as I felt like the enemies' combat design is not very coherent. The story is nothing spectacular. You're on a quest to fight God basically. Despite this, you're the good guy, as the old man has gone mad apparently. There's nothing hidden in dialogs or item descriptions as far as I've seen, so there's not a lot to dig in. There's also voice acting. The bosses' ones are not bad, but the friendly NPCs aren't great. Still, for how short the game can be, they don't overstay their welcome. For some reason there's dialogue options, but nothing changes gameplay-wise. The pixel art is nice, and unlike some, more recent, pixel-art games that I've seen, it's mostly hand made. I haven't seen a lot of rotating, bl…

This game has a lot going for it, especially if you can scoop it on sale. Pleasant Hyper Light Drifter-esque visuals, fluid gameplay, interesting weapons, unique story. There isn't an abundance of options here, but there is enough for what it is, and the game world feels nicely realized. If you like top-down action hack 'n slash/shooters, you could do a lot worse.

I wish I played this game sooner after buying it to get a refund. The game had much better reviews when I bought it. IDK what happened. I'll probably play it a little longer but I'm very unimpressed. I've made music better than this. I could make sprite art on par. The story is very r/atheism. It's very hard to slog through this mediocre gameplay.

Feels like something's missing. The combat just isn't satisfying, and for the most part, there isn't much of a point to it anyway. There's almost no reason to bother fighting the basic enemies (and the game throws a ton of them at you.) Occasionally they drop consumables, but it's usually just ammo. I think I might like this game a little more if it had an exp/level up system, because as it is now, it's just wandering around avoiding enemies, doing tedious puzzles, and looking for bosses.

Really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ rad. Would prefer deeper conversations with more dialogue options (It's the devil talking to archangels, there's so much to work with here!) But the combat is solid, and the art is great (especially the designs of the main characters) WARNING: Uriel is going to kick your ass if you are not prepared, the difficulty spike from the previous bosses is massive, master the dodge before confronting her.
