Fantasy Hero Manager

This is a proof of concept for a game, not a finished product.

First, the introduction into the game is really bad. You are asked to chose a starting character but are given no info on what the attributes and skills are good for. All you are told is you should hire a human or orc with high health and nigh clout. I started the tutorial and after the first battle I found a chest. I used up all my leaders stamina trying to open it but never even got close to opening it in time. So I started over, chose a new leader with a high locks value, and guess what, I again used up all my stamina without getting close to open that stupid first chest. Sorry, but that was it for me. A waste of time and money.

Very fun game with some innovative game play ideas. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend it at this time. The 'disappearing button' problem persists, and the Fix Buttons doesn't always work. This wouldn't be so bad, except you can only save in certain locations. This means you might lose a couple of hours of play when the buttons crash. I have wasted several evenings with nothing to show for it due to this bug. Perhaps if the game let you save without burning a turn (at least until they fix the button problem) it wouldn't be so bad - especially with chained random monster battles taking so long to resolve.

Well, one hour into the game and I already hit 3 bugs, including a game-breaking one - my map got replaced with the dungeon room graphics - completely obscuring the map contents and in practice removing any possibility of further exploration. "Not meant to be completed on the first run" - you go that right, but for the wrong reasons.

I really really tried to keep playing it. The idea itself and the gameplay is great, but it's just impossible to get past all the bugs. There's constant bugs that involve invisible screens over what you can see so you're clicking things that arent there, and theres no way to get out of it so you have to alt+tab and exit the game. Couple times I've had my heroes suddenly turn into a different hero, so now i have 2 of the same heroes for no reason at all. I've had it where you get a hero and they just show up with no portrait, level 0, cant select em, cant move em, theyre just a filler in one of your bunks. I've had to close this game and start a few minutes or more back again and again and I just can't do it anymore. I got my party up to around level 20 and higher, really trying to save a lot and just push through the bugs and figure em out, but when it just stops working for no reason over and over again it's impossible to enjoy it. Great game ruined by game breaking bugs... its really disappointing, really is.

It would be a good game if it didn't crash at random and lock up the picture at random.
