Fantasy Senate Simulator

I really wanted to like this game, because a political fantasy sim is a wonderful idea. However, after just a short time with it, I decided to ask for a refund, as there are several problems here that make me not want to play it: - There is no tutorial, the tooltips are far from clear, some terms are called different things in different menus (charm vs charisma), and the feedback information after choosing an option is almost nonexistent. As a result, I had no idea whether, for example, my rallies were doing anything and if not then why. - There is no way to compare information about various regions other than clicking them separately (in two different mapmodes, because population and economy stats are in the international view and the polling and demographics are in the senate view) and reading the pop up windows. Which means that if you want to identify the regions in which you have the best chance of succeeding, you have to click every single one of them and take notes. The game seems stingy with information in general, you have to pay money to see some of the stats of any character in the game, including your own, and you only get to know the opponent's actions by a series of…

Great idea with a very decent execution from an indie dev. It's a lot of menu diving/number crunching but is extremely fun if you dont mind those barriers of entry. The UI/menus can be not super great to navigate and have misspellings and a few things that are seemingly unexplained (i might just be an idiot as well). Would def recommend to someone who enjoys simulation games with a political twist! I can see this gaming being modded to hell and back and being a true shining gem in the niche of political sim games.

I really liked this game so I decided to write this review for it because it doesn't have any reviews that are english. Gameplay: The game is mostly just clicking buttons and sliding sliders. Basically how most strategy games work lol. You do still have to actually plan what you should do and I personally like it. Graphics and Interface: While the game’s graphics are functional and do their job of presenting the complex data they are not super great. However, the interface is well-designed (atleast compared to most indie strategy games), making it easier to manage the myriad of tasks and information without feeling overwhelmed. Still if you are a first time strategy game player this could be too confusing for you.
