I am quite happy with this game. You pick a party of three heroes from a selection of four, choose one of three difficulty settings, and then navigate your party through over a dozen dungeon-like levels, fighting enemies, looting chests and dealing with traps. Inbetween levels you get access to a shop where you can buy equipment for your heroes. Each hero starts with one or two unique traits that will help them in combat or with exploration, but they do not level up. Instead, some of the items you can buy will give your heroes stat boots or certain combat effects, either temporarily for one level or permanently. There is also a story about magical artifacts, evil villains and forgotten dungeons. Nothing you haven’t seen anywhere else, but I didn’t mind. The characters were likable and dialogues were mostly short and to the point. The main focus is cleary on dungeon exploration. Once you have completed the campaign, you unlock a fifth hero and skirmish mode. Skirmish mode is kind of a randomized mini campaign where you have to fight your way through three dungeon levels.
