About Fate of Fire: Kyvedy Guardiah

A tale of Struggle"..destiny won't stay idle as we fight it.."
"When a Mortal defeats the Aeon of Death,
It's rewarded with Eternal Life"
..to claim the prize for themselves, humanity challenged Death..
..but Defeat shattered their dreams of Glory..
..and Despair sat on the throne of Hope..
..as the Aeon's might was beyond their reach..
..a curse was cast upon them..
Follow the story of the nine protagonists in a cursed world with only seven days left. Witness the events from their point of view as the road to salvation is threatened by dark forces and each protagonist has a crucial role to play. With the chosen entering the Tower of Guardiah, a knight seeking hope, a mage looking for answers and the monsters rebelling to humanity, the story will keep you engaged till the very end.
Gameplay

Each protagonist has its own fighting style, from stealthy thieves to knights and mages, you will play as both humans and monsters. The field action is different in each level to keep your playthrough always fresh.

Among the heroes Roy and Eria are of a special kind. not only you can switch between them at will but they can also save each other if their beloved is in danger !Turn Based !

To complement the field action there is a fast paced turn based combat that lets you quickly send your fighters in battle, use Magic and the powerful "Fireburn" abilities. You can also  take your time to craft a winning strategy by reading the battle notes filled with your enemies' skills and weaknesses.
While the field action relies only on your skills and your ability to run, kite and strike, your party will become stronger as the story progresses. With new Spells, Fireburns and new party members that will join your fight. One of the tactical aspects of the game comes for the close interaction between field action and turn based combat, each one with the power to influence the other making you think outside the box to craft a winning strategy.Lore and fun

With the guilty pleasure of Skipping Cutscenes to see what happens..  the game offers twice the story at the same price ! And while exploring you will find many books that will allow you to expand your knowledge, while not mandatory, there's plenty of Lore if you want to better understand the events of the world.
Ten bad Fates

Ten bad fates are there for you to discover while screwing up with many ways to die and unexpected ways to lose !
 An Outstanding Soundtrack
A fantastic soundtrack for an epic story, Fate of Fire boasts 42 tracks composed by the amazing Tim Beek. Made with Love, with LÖVE

Made with the fantastic LÖVE 2d framework, Fate of Fire is a work of love and passion. Over time, update after update it became better and better as I have always been working on the game to make it awesome !The Demo

A lengthy demo to introduce you to the story and let you taste the game playing with five of the main characters. The demo is always updated with the latest features and your progress will be loaded in the full version.

Have fun Saving Humanity !
Denis ^^

What a great game! There are a lot of things I want to say about this game but I will try to keep it relatively short. First I will start with saying that I heavily recommend this game to any indie rpg fan. It is super unique and is perfect for people who like to branch out and play hidden gems. Now moving on to the positives: - Very cute artstyle. The pixel art is great. Awesome usage of colours and contrast. Gives a lot of life to the characters and environments. The lighting was cool too. Dynamic and it adds a lot to the vibes of the locales. - Unique and interesting gameplay. This game has a very cool mix of action and turn based rpg. The game is for a majority an action rpg where you shoot stuff to stun them, and then walk over them to eliminate them. The turn based battles are kind of a "punishment" for if you fail to do this stun tactic. The turn based battles themselves are cool too, very fast paced and fun. Because there is no traditional leveling system, you have to be way more tactical about your battling. You can not just grind and overpower the enemies like in most rpgs - The soundtrack is just full of bangers. Lovely soundtrack. I especially love the battle them…

-New review for the 1.9 update - The new turn based combat is super addicting, sending your party to fight is fun and the effects you can trigger when you win a battle are very interesting like burning your enemies on the field when you go back. With the new combat system some levels just become a must replay like the "The siege of Osha" with Noke, Rhoa or Xavier. The story is as cool as it was before, good characterization, mind blowing plot twits and I think they added some new scenes and "alternative scenes". I love the new graphic style, the characters really feel like they come out of a painting to fight. The game now is completely different form when I played it back then and I am very impressed for how the dev kept caring and constantly updating. I had more fun replaying this with the new updates than with many first playthrough of other "better" known jrpgs.

I've recently revisited a previously-reviewed title, Fate of Fire: Kyvedy Guardiah. While the review was negative at release, it has since experienced a number of hefty updates and is much improved. Still needs a bit more love to reach potential but it's fun now. Kyvedy Guardiah is an ARPG full of lore and a simple gameplay loop but a range of different classes and mission types to play with as you explore the tower. Combat's simplistic but can be challenging. For more niche curation, follow me at: https://store.steampowered.com/curator/27440015-CSH-Picone/
