About Finding summer

Finding summer - a three-dimensional platformer about a kid named Aki , whose nostalgia for the past summer forced him to go on an unforgettable adventure - in search of summer! On the way to his goal, he will meet not only many dangers, but also make new friends. And of course, such a responsible journey is difficult to carry out alone - that's why you will go to meet the warm summer days with Aki!
The main feature of the game is the ability to move between two layers of the level , which makes the environment much more voluminous and increases the number of possible paths!
On the way to the very reason of traveling - fly, you will visit 4 colorful locations, each of which contains its own unique mechanics! What exactly is this unusual adventure? What outcome awaits you with Aki at the end of the journey?

Key Features

 • Each level consists of two layers, through which you can move
 • Affectionate characters, each with their own character and goals
 • 4 colorful locations in the main storyline
 • Over 25 levels, with unique design and mechanics
 • Challenging difficulty
 • Atmospheric Instrumental Soundtrack
 • Aki has a cat!

Post-release support

After the release of the game, it will be gradually updated with new storyline additions, access to which will be free for all. Such updates will expand the game world, as well as implement ideas whose implementation is impossible in just one adventure! In addition to the development of the plot, the game will be supported technically (regular elimination of errors and bugs)

someone said "warm", reviewing this. tried very little, but it's actually a warm, soft cuddle for the eyes. it also seems to be missing some "cuteness", in gameplay mechanics. like, ...not that easy still, a very, very enjoyable one.

When I'm trying a new game, I don't know the controls and I'm aware of it, so I'm not upset at the idea of fiddling with them. Yet, I'm expecting the game to meet me half way, either by a tutorial or by having the informations written somewhere if the controls aren't intuitive. Thing is it seems like that this game doesn't exactly want me to play, the menu consists only in picking the language and when you're playing, you have the choice between resuming and going back to the menu.. Which actually only lead you to the house where you have to press enter to return to the menu. Also there is a really mysterious i circled with E / Q under and a mouse. Are those the controls ??? Actually no, I tried to press E and Q and it doesn't do anything. After a little while, I found that I need to use A and D to go left and right, space to jump, enter to enter things and the left mouse button to switch between background and foreground. Happens that my main language (French) isn't supported, so apparently AZERTY isn't supported either, thus things are becoming slightly complicated: the A on AZERTY is where is a Q on the QWERTY. I let you picture the problem. I only played 30mn so far, I'll tak…

I would have liked this game, but: CON: - *AWEFUL* controls: movement with arrow key, jump with space, 1-2 plane switch with *MOUSE BUTTON* <--- holy bull sh!t !!!!!! - no manual control config - no controller support PRO: + nice simplistic art style

Finding Summer will take an eternity..... Tried to gave this a chance and wanted to like it. The game is just too frustrating. The game has 3 basic controls, LEFT/RIGHT, JUMP, and SWITCH (LMB or CTRL key). It was nice a surprise to find the CTRL key works instead of the LMB for SWITCH). Jumping on the same platforms over and over or trying to do "U" movements is where this game struggles. Once a level is completed, it does feel as if a major chore has been accomplished! PROS * Beautiful world graphics and atmosphere * Beautiful music composition * Completing a level feels like a monumental accomplishment * Adorable main character * Unique front/back platform gaming thru a switch feature (LMB or CTRL key) CONS * Awful controls - expect to do impossible movements with no on screen hints * The front/back level switch is gimmicky and leads to frustration at many times during a level * Buggy - Fell into a "cloud void world" where nothing can be done but stare at clouds! * Buggy - Around level 5 every game death results in 2 game deaths instead of 1 * The levels progress to insane difficulty needing to JUMP, MOVE and SWITCH at he EXACT right time * Doing levels over and over…

This game is just... a weird, broken mess of ideas, that is sort of good??? but more bad than good??? like,,, the game is just, broken, but not to the point where you can't beat it in like, under two hours and return it... if you really wanted to play through the whole thing. I did it, sure... did i enjoy it??? nnyes???? yes and no??? I wouldn't recommend this game to most people, unless you like pretty graphics and find playing through a half-broken game entertaining like i did. some levels SEEM unbeatable, but it's just shoddy design. Last statement on this game: the game introduces coins as collectibles in the first level of the game. Halfway through the whole game, coins never appear again in any of the levels for the rest of the game. I have no idea why, they just stopped. Make of that what you will.
