"Eihän tätä kestä selvin päin!" Finnish inheritance is an odd combination of finnish humor and C-tier horror. It manages to eke out a few solid jokes and a scare or two out of its crudely pieced together assets and elements, but overall it falls flat in pretty much every way imaginable. Visually the game might seem quite all right at first, but it quickly becomes apparent that 90% of the assets in the game are pre-purchased ones that fail to maintain the illusion that we're in Finland at all. What few unique assets there are tend to be very crude texture replacements that are often squashed or stretched due to poor implementation. Character animations, missing facial animation and general jank are all hallmarks of an amateur project. When it comes to audio the game also struggles. Diving into a dark and melancholic Finnish life (or actually what comes after it for the loved ones of the deceased) has never been this amusing. The horror elements are well thought out and executed. A HUGE plus for having multiple voice actors and their roles having been done well, as well as the little extra you get at the end if you put some effort into the game. Short and sweet game experience, of how it feels to be belittled by your entire family and people around you. Classic finnish experience2 found this helpful
The game was fun and I enjoyed it a lot, but the ending animation was completely broken for me which made the game unfinishable, also the moonshine area didn't seem to allow me to make any despite the paper instructing me to do so. It's fun but very bare bones and the best way to enjoy it is while drinking with a friend. I'd say buy it if you wanna just waste a few hours on a silly adventure. a solid 6/101 found this helpful
