This game was abandoned by the person working on it years ago. Despite not being cancelled officially the dev has said nothing on it for several years and ghosted the discord set up for news and updates. It's honestly a shame given the potential it has to be a great game once finished.17 found this helpful

I can only recommend trying out this game. The mechanics and simple but cute visuals make for a treat of an experience. Yes it hasn't been updated for years and the developer is currently working on a different game called 'Ghost Bike' with Mark Essen, the creator of Nidhogg. Some of you claim that the developer has gone AWOL or "disappeared and ghosted everyone". That is not the case. The last time I spoke to him he still had plans to resume work on FLAMBERGE but as an indie developer he needs to make a living as well. So to be clear - this isn't a money scam or a discarded game, life just got in the way and that happens sometimes.
