BRIGANDINE ABYSS

I have played Brigandine The Legend of Forsena, more recently Brigandine The Legend of Runersia on Steam (35 out of 35 achievements) but this, this is not Brigandine and whatever it is, it's not fun, is not good and even a shame to have the Brigandine title on it. For the real fans, you just ruined a niche franchise, very likely you just killed any future development.

***Brigandine: Abyss Review*** I'm a huge Brigandine fan, so I was excited for Abyss. There are some improvements I really like, but unfortunately, too many features from the original that gave the game depth didn't carry over. ***Pros*** Recruiting leaders from defeated factions: Once a nation is destroyed, its characters move around the map and can eventually be recruited if you can afford them. I like being able to collect leaders from different factions instead of losing them permanently. Questing and upgrading bases adds progression: Different bases have different materials, perks, and some different monster types. Bases can also be upgraded to Level 3, giving you a reason to develop your territory and build your army instead of immediately rushing to conquer the map. The equipment system is convenient: Once you unlock certain weapons, armor, or accessories, you can buy them from the store if you have the money. The rarity carries over too. I've unlocked up to three-star purple equipment so far, but I'm still playing and haven't seen everything yet. There is a lot of bad reviews of this game and initially I thought it was going to be that bad. But after putting time and effort to learning the new system of the game. It's actually not that bad. There are many aspects of the game that has changed for example completely taking out the rune knight area was a big game changer and allowed many new strategies but also eliminated old Brigandine strategies of pushing rune knights to the edge until their OP monster was out of their area. But now you can totally send your rocs through ZOC blockades and obliterate the unprotected mages and healers in the back. The monster balance has been redone to make players actually use the monsters provided such as the golem which used to just be a HP fodder for the DPS to area magic the enemy damage dealers and really castle forward. But now the golems actually deal damage with high accuracy and even mages actually can do some damage. Being able to buy equipment now is truly great! You don't can elevate your monster and knight's stats from the beginning and have an advantage over the enemy's automated leveling every turn. SO far it is a close successor to the original

Brigandine abyss is an odd entry in the series, honestly Its a solid title that has a lot of core elements (humanoid units leading monsters, a focus on taking territory and expanding) but misses a few of the more fine details of the previous 2 games (abyss has a smaller map with a lot more factions, factions are generally equal in what they have, the enemy factions mostly scale up overtime rather than needing to build resources like the player does) that changes the pacing of the game a lot. I think I would enjoy a game that was more of a combination between the abyss's and the previous 2 games style in the future, the mission mode is neat, the new rally system is quite nice (although I would like it if command range was still in the game, maybe with some monsters being able to ignore it) and unique character abilities outside of faction leaders is neat, even if the balance of them is a bit all over the place

Give a very new way of playing Brigandine compare to all other Brigandine version, yet still give the same vibe. Hope there will be more in the future.
