FLIES FLIES FLIES

Comedy is legal again and it demands trans liberation now. This is like the playful whimsy of Scott Pilgrim, lefty discourse of Disco Elysium, and absurdist horror of Kafka were woven together by Buffalo Bill into a fashionable skin suit. The writing is subversive and funny, and the characters are realistically flawed and endearing. This is a lovingly crafted multimedia project with affectively simple and clever animation, and great graphic design. Highly recommend for fans of absurdism, comics, and a gay old time.

Honestly wish I could write this review with prose as sharp and enjoyable as this visual novel has - but I'M NO WRITER! I just need to express how enamored I was it. The fly narrative works so elegantly as a metaphor for every aspect of the queer experience - dysphoria obviously - but also the isolation, lack of autonomy/voice in your life, scaring people around you, striving for connection and normalcy .... it sounds so heavy but the writing is so hilarious and often Cute that it's like ... not heavy?? I laughed so much. The worldbuilding hits a perfect balance between magical-realism and sci-fi. I really fell in love with every character, the narrative gives each one so much sympathy. I wish there was such thing as a visual novel book club so I could discuss this with other people. Maybe I gotta start one. For now though I'll just spill it all in the Steam review section!!!

Wow! Every episode of this quirky indie story includes snarky dialogue which keeps you watching and waiting for the next scene. Finn Flynn is trapped in the body of a fly and his dad who is a scientist with a phobia of insects! Loved the story line and this is a show you will to keep re-watching to catch all of the funny lines you missed before.

FFF is hilarious! I love the storyline, the characters, and the voice actors. There was so much packed in each episode that I am eager to go back and rewatch to catch what I might have missed (I didn't get to read the Bleak News headlines - RatBoy is my favorite). I did appreciate the option to skip waiting for Fly-Finn to spell out his lines. Anxiously awaiting episodes 5 & 6!

we must make love. sexytimes.

FFF is packed with wit, allegory, absurdity, and pyrrhic heart. its Quality voice-acting portrays solid characters, inventive twists, and the unique anxiety of experiencing both gender deconstruction and mass surveillance at the same time. I particularly enjoy Robofinn as a concept; a child too scathing a reflection of its creator to leave alive!
