This is a sports management sim that looks like it was written in visual basic or something. It's mostly just text with a little planning for the football (gridiron) games your team will play in. Hire and fire agents, manage players and so on and so forth. The whole thing could be done in a web browser (and might have a better interface if it was). This might have some appeal to rabid American football fans, but they're already busy playing fantasy football, leaving nobody for me to recommend this to even if it was any good.4 found this helpful
I have three previous editions of Football Mogul (which I have really enjoyed), so I looked forward to the "improvements" in this one. But some of the improvements are not actually present and NEW significant problems are now present. First, one is supposed to be able to run a FB-free offense, but when I check the box for 3 wideouts or 2 tight ends, the FB still starts instead of the extra WR or TE. Second, in an age in which players in the draft are younger than ever, most of the draftable players in this edition are 23-25 years old! Third, the college stats and measurables are now a mess. All draftable RBs apparently averaged less than 2.5 yards per carry in college -- and most skill position players have 40 yd dash times slower than 4.70. Fourth, the salaries of many players count 0 dollars toward the salary cap until they come up for contract renewal -- consequently, one cannot reduce salary cap by releasing or trading players until after their initial contract expires and they are re-signed to a ridiculously high salary (that then makes them untradeable). Fifth, ratings for draftable players are unrealistically LOW. Who wants to draft these guys (and the draft is my favorit…4 found this helpful
Football Mogul 15 is exactly a simulator. Very difficult to learn, but if you figure it out, you will like it.3 found this helpful
If you want to coach your favorite football team to a dynasty then, this is the game for you. But I have found in my FIRST experience, it's not going to be eash.
