About Forrader Hero
Forrader Hero – turn-based game with roguelike (and some tactical) elements where heroes can’t step back and must fight through the end to save their soul in ‘Forgotten Proto.World’ fighting hordes of monsters, undead creatures, and their overlords.
Features
- Several heroes to play, which represent different tactics to follow
- Each hero has unique skills that will help to fight through hordes of undead
- A casual turn-based yet tactical gameplay that needs a correct decision-making
- Properly make your way: collect items that increase the hero’s survivability, choose the better path to avoid unnecessary danger, and be ready to face the Lord of the ‘Forgotten Proto.World’
- One more run: if you lose try again, that is all – discover the heroes’ strengths to succeed. You can’t be ready for anything, because every ending is the new beginning
- No step back! You can’t go back because heroes don’t behave like that, keep it in mind!
- Play with only a keyboard or only a mouse (controllers supported too)

Forward Escape the Fold is a MUCH better game in a similar style. This one has VERY little variety. The perks are the same each run. By the final boss your "random" build is likely to look EXACTLY like mine or like the build from your previous run. Gets boring very quickly.3 found this helpful
Forrader Hero, developed and published by VidyGames, is a tightly designed turn-based roguelike that emphasizes forward momentum, hard choices, and deliberate tactical planning. Set within the bleak confines of the Forgotten Proto.World, the game establishes a clear and uncompromising rule from the outset: there is no retreat. This single design principle defines the entire experience, shaping how players approach movement, combat, and risk. Every step forward is final, and every encounter must be resolved with the tools you have on hand, creating a persistent tension that underpins each run from start to finish. The gameplay centers on grid-based, turn-driven combat where positioning and timing matter more than raw numbers. Each hero offers a distinct playstyle, encouraging players to think carefully about how abilities interact with terrain and enemy behavior. Battles are rarely about overwhelming force; instead, success often comes from controlling space, manipulating enemy movement, and choosing the right moment to strike or defend. Because encounters and layouts are procedurally arranged, the game resists rote memorization, pushing players to adapt their strategies on the fly…2 found this helpful
I paid $1 for this. And for what this game is I feel like that's a good price. It definitely plays more like a mobile game, considering you can play entirely with just a mouse. But it feels like it's trying to do too much with all of the status effects which are difficult to keep straight. And maybe I just really suck at knowing the difference between roguelike and roguelite... but there's only (as far as I can tell) one source of meta progression that doesn't really seem to add anything that really feels satisfying. You just grind over and over and over on a class until you'll killed enough to get enough XP to unlock the next class. But I gave it a thumbs up because for the price it's worth it, for being a fairly mindless clicking game you can putz around on. Might put it on while I mainly want to watch a movie or something on YouTube.1 found this helpful
Awesome game, rare for me to find something that is actually this much fun.
This game is extremely fun and surprisingly active/quick in a genre known for slow/long drawn out runs. I really hope it gets a bit more development to include a codex for the champions and the abilities you can get for each, and a bit more documentation on if champions can get more abilities, etc. But even as it is now, I'm thoroughly enjoying runs through, it feel balanced while I also get to feel powerful, and I'm unlocking new classes after almost every run allowing for constant new experiences.
Es un roguelite muy simple, pero entretenido.
