Sorry, but no. Previous games were funny, even when you have no musical education. This game has no easy and difficulty raised. First level on normal already not casual.

They forgot to put a story in the game so the whole thing feels pointless and short. Not nearly as good as the first two but still worth it for the music alone.

TL;DR - It's the weakest of the three so far and feels like a rushed game. If you want it, get it on megasale. Compared to the previous two, yes it's very weak. But on it's own it's weak too. There's way less story elements, less character interaction, and the change in Chopin's voice actor was jarring and just not clean in execution. Really felt like it jolted us from song to song without much in between which was part of the fun quirkiness of the previous installments. The input system is *rough* in that it's very difficult to read exactly where some of the notes are. If this was my first Frederic game, I don't know if I'd have a fighting chance at reading it well. A lot of the music felt like it was lacking the flair and energy from previous games. There was more than one that was excessively repetitive and the difficulty is significantly lower now. I was bummed there was no "Chopin difficulty" after completing it on hard.

The story feels rushed, the voice acting is terrible, the purple attacks interrupt the main gameplay, the dialogue is lackluster, Chopin doesn't even get a chance to have a personality, I didn't even really understand what was happening until almost the very end, the UI is unfortunate to say the least, and for $10, it is incredibly short. I would've rather bought DLC for the second game than this.

Fred3ric is an eccentric rhythm adventure that takes classical music, historical composers, science-fiction absurdity, and arcade-style musical challenges and blends them into something deliberately unconventional. As the third installment centered on Frederic Chopin, it continues the series' habit of treating one of history's most famous composers less like a traditional historical figure and more like the hero of a bizarre animated adventure. The game was developed and published by Forever Entertainment S. A., and its unusual personality is immediately apparent in both its storytelling and presentation. The premise once again places Frederic in an increasingly ridiculous conflict where musical ability becomes his primary means of fighting back. After his earlier adventures, a new threat arrives in the form of Zeitgeist, a cybernetic antagonist whose actions drag Frederic into another extraordinary confrontation. Time itself becomes part of the conflict, while well-known composers from history appear as corrupted mechanical adversaries. The story makes little attempt to remain historically plausible, instead using recognizable musical figures as ingredients for an exaggerated fan…

The keybind customization sucks. Why on God's green earth is your game piano themed, but formatted for me to primarily use only one hand. FFS, let me use the arrow keys or numpad if you're gonna let me change the settings You get what you pay for ig, but it makes that game unplayable
